Unsur-Unsur Intrinsik Cerpen "Yadun fi al-Qabri" dalam Antalogi al-Qamis al-Masruq Karya Gassan Kanafani: Analisis Struktural

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan unsur-unsur intrinsik yang terdapat pada cerpen "Yadun fi al-Qabri" karya Gassan Kanafani dan keterkaitan antarunsurnya dalam menghasilkan makna. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori struktural dengan metode analisis struktural. Unsur-unsur intrinsik yang dianalisis adalah fakta cerita, tema, dan sarana sastra. Tokoh utama adalah Nabil, seorang mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran tahun pertama. Tokoh tambahan adalah Suhail, ayah Nabil, kakak perempuan Nabil, dan paman Suhail. Alur cerpen ini adalah alur progresif atau kronologis karena cerita disajikan secara berurutan dari awal sampai akhir. Latar dalam cerpen ini terdiri atas tiga latar, yaitu latar tempat: rumah Nabil, jalanan yang mengarah ke luar kota, universitas, dan tanah kosong milik petani Turki yang diduga sebuah pemakaman tua; latar waktu: pagi hari sebelum terbit fajar, sore hari, dan tujuh tahun setelah percobaan pencurian; dan latar sosial: kondisi masyarakat yang belum mempunyai kesadaran terhadap pentingnya sarana pendidikan. Tema dalam cerpen ini adalah hasrat ingin dipandang hebat di suatu lingkungan mendorong seseorang melakukan hal di luar nalar yang justru merugikan diri sendiri. Judul cerpen "Yadun fi al-Qabri" pada cerpen ini mengcu pada klimaks tahapan alur. Adapun sudut pandang yang digunakan pada cerpen ini adalah sudut pandang orang pertama aku tokoh utama. Semua unsur yang terdapat dalam cerpen "Yadun fi al-Qabri" memiliki keterkaitan antarunsur dengan yang lainnya sehingga menghasilkan makna. Keterkaitan antarunsur dapat dilihat pada kaitan antara tema dengan judul, tema dengan alur, dan tema dengan tokoh.

This research is aimed to figure the intrinsic elements contained in short stories "Yadun fi al-Qabri" by Gassan Kanafani and the relationship between the elements. The theory, which used in this study, is a structural theory with analytical structural methods. Furthermore, the intrinsic elements analyzed in this research consist of story fact, themes, and literary devices. The main character is Nabil, a firstyear student at the Faculty of Medicine. Additional characters are Suhail, Nabil's father, Nabil's older sister, and Suhail's uncle. The plot of this short story is a progressive or chronological plot because the story is presented sequentially from beginning to end. The setting in this short story consists of three settings, namely the setting of the place: Nabil's house, the road leading out of the city, the university, and a vacant lot belonging to a Turkish farmer which is thought to be an old cemetery; time setting: the morning before dawn, the afternoon, and seven years after the attempted theft; and social background: the condition of people who do not yet have awareness of the importance of educational facilities. The theme in this short story is the desire to be seen as great in an environment encourages someone to do things beyond reason that actually harm themselves. The title of the short story "Yadun fi al-Qabri" in this short story refers to the climax of the plot stage. The point of view used in this short story is the first person point of view "I" the main character. All the elements contained in the short story "Yadun fi al-Qabri" have interrelationships between elements with others so as to produce meaning. The relationship between elements can be seen in the relationship between theme and title, theme and plot, and theme and character.
