Budaya Korea yang masuk ke Indonesia merupakan salah satu bentuk budaya populer yang hingga kini masih ada dan terus diminati oleh penggemarnya. Salah satu bentuknya adalah munculnya penciptaan fanfiction (fiksi penggemar) di kalangan komunitas penggemar Korean Popular atau sering disebut sebagai K-Pop, yang dapat dijumpai di situs-situs web seperti fanfiction.net, asianfanfics.com, livejournal.com, dan situs web lainnya berupa blogspot ataupun wordpress. Selain itu fanfiction K-Pop juga dapat ditemukan di aplikasi menulis online seperti Wattpad juga pada media sosial seperti Facebook, Twitter, dan lain sebagainya. Situs web fanfictionsindo.wordpress.com yang dibuat pada tahun 2014 menjadi salah satu media yang digunakan oleh penggemar K-Pop dalam membagikan hasil kreatifnya sebagai bentuk aktivitas dalam suatu fandom K-Pop. Melalui ekosistem naratifnya, situs web tersebut menunjukkan tampilan lingkungan fanfiction dan aturan-aturan yang mempengaruhi penciptaan narasi fanfiction dalam situs web tersebut. Selain itu, situs web tersebut juga menunjukkan pengelolaan fanfiction yang menjadi bagian dari aktivitas suatu fandom. Dengan memperhatikan fenomena dalam situs web tersebut, penelitian ini menemukan adanya peran situs web dalam mengatur produksi serta konsumsi fanfiction K-Pop. Situs web menjadi gambaran dari keberadaan fanfiction yang memperhitungkan adanya interaksi antaragen (penulis, pembaca, dan media), seleksi dan evolusi, sehingga media situs web tersebut menjadi tempat fanfiction mempertahankan eksistensinya hingga kini dengan menyesuaikan selera pasar di tengah banyaknya media yang ada. Selain itu, industri K-Pop menciptakan ekosistem fanfiction yang berbeda dari fanfiction pada umumnya, yang mana real people fiction (RPF) menjadi ciri khas dari penulisan fanfiction K-POP yang dipengaruhi oleh imajinasi dan harapan sebagai penggemar yang tidak dapat ditemukan di dunia nyata dan dominasi penggemar perempuan yang juga menghadirkan adanya jenis slash fanfiction.

Korean culture that entered Indonesia is a form of popular culture that is still there and continues to be in demand by fans. One form is the emergence of fanfiction creation among the Korean Popular fan community or often referred to as K-Pop, which can be found on websites such as fanfiction.net, asianfanfics.com, livejournal.com, and other websites. in the form of Blogspot or Word Press. In addition, K-Pop fanfiction can also be found in online writing applications such as Wattpad as well as on social media such as Facebook, Twitter, and so on. The fanfictionsindo.wordpress.com website which was created in 2014 is one of the media used by K-Pop fans to share their creative results as a form of activity in a K-Pop fandom. Through its narrative ecosystem, the website shows the appearance of the fanfiction environment and the rules that influence the creation of fanfiction narratives on the website. In addition, the website also shows the management of fanfiction that is part of the activities of a fandom. By paying attention to the phenomenon on the website, this research finds the role of the website in regulating the production and consumption of K-Pop fanfiction. The website is an illustration of the existence of fanfiction that takes into account the interaction between genes (writers, readers, and media), selection and evolution, so that the website media becomes a place for fanfiction to maintain its existence until now by adjusting to market tastes in the midst of the many existing media. In addition, the K-Pop industry creates a fanfiction ecosystem that is different from fanfiction in general, where real people fiction (RPF) is the hallmark of K-POP fanfiction writing that is influenced by imagination and expectations as fans that cannot be found in the real world and the dominance of female fans who also presents a type of slash fanfiction.
