PENGARUH KEPEMIMPINAN PARTISIPATIF TERHADAP KELELAHAN EMOSIONAL DENGAN WORK INTERFERENCE WITH PERSONAL LIFE (WIPL) SEBAGAI PEMEDIASI STUDI PADA KARYAWAN SEKTOR JASA KEUANGAN DI DKI JAKARTA

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji pengaruh negatif kepemimpinan partisipatif terhadap kelelahan emosional dengan work interference with personal life (WIPL) sebagai variabel pemediasi, studi pada karyawan sektor jasa keuangan DKI Jakarta. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini melalui penyebaran kuesioner secara daring. Responden yang berpartisipasi dalam penelitian ini sejumlah 100 responden dengan kriteria, yaitu: karyawan aktif sektor jasa keuangan, sudah atau sedang melakukan WFH. Analis regresi dalam penelitian ini digunakan untuk menguji kedua hipotesis. Pada penelitian ini, pengujian hipotesis untuk variabel pemediasi mengacu pada langkah-langkah yang dikembangkan oleh Baron dan Kenny (1986). Penelitian ini menguji bahwa kepemimpinan partisipatif memiliki pengaruh negatif terhadap kelelahan emosional. Work interference with personal life juga terbukti memediasi secara parsial pengaruh negatif kepemimpinan partisipatif terhadap kelelahan emosional.

Emotional exhaustion is a feeling where someone who is experiencing it will have emotional and physical resources measured (Maslach and Leiter, 2008). Leaders who use a participative leadership style are expected to have a negative influence on employees' emotional exhaustion (Lo and Stark, 2019). In current conditions, WIPL often occurs in an employee who feels fatigued caused by his work (Haar and Brougham, 2020). This is in line with the conservation of resources theory which explains that the impact of someone experiencing emotional exhaustion can be shown when experiencing WIPL (Hobfoll, 1989). Support from manager is expected to be able to help create a comfortable work environment for employees. The purpose of this study was to examine the negative effect of participative leadership on emotional exhaustion with WIPL as a mediating variable, a study on employees of the financial services sector in DKI Jakarta. This research is quantitative. The data collection method used in this study was through the distribution of questionnaires boldly. Respondents who participated in this study were 100 respondents with criteria, namely: active employees of the financial services sector, have or are doing WFH. Regression analysis in this study was used to test both hypotheses. Hypothesis testing for mediating variables refers to the steps developed by Baron and Kenny (1986). The results revealed that H1 is supported, there is a negative influence of participative leadership on emotional exhaustion. Meanwhile, the results of H2 are partially supported by the mediating effect of WIPL on the effect of participative leadership on emotional exhaustion.
