Sistem Notifikasi Aplikasi KiosRakyat Berbasis Android

Notifikasi merupakan suatu bentuk pemberitahuan yang ditujukan kepada pengguna aplikasi. Keberadaan notifikasi pada aplikasi memiliki peranan untuk mengirimkan pesan penting kepada pengguna, apalagi saat perangkat pengguna dalam keadaan layar mati atau saat pengguna tidak menggunakan aplikasi. Penggunaan notifikasi salah satunya dapat diimplementasikan pada aplikasi jual beli untuk memberitahu penjual adanya pesanan masuk atau untuk memberitahu pembeli status perjalanan produk yang mereka beli. Melihat permasalahan tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa dibutuhkan fitur notifikasi pada aplikasi jual beli KiosRakyat berbasis Android. Aplikasi KiosRakyat merupakan aplikasi pemasaran digital yang menghubungkan antara pemilik kios (retailer) dengan konsumen secara real time. Sistem notifikasi pada aplikasi ini dibangun menggunakan bahasa pemrograman Java dengan menggunakan basis data MySQL dan API Retrofit dan menggunakan layanan Firebase Cloud Messaging. Notifikasi yang dibangun pada aplikasi KiosRakyat ditujukan kepada pengguna retailer maupun pengguna consumer. Notifikasi yang diterima oleh retailer adalah notifikasi pesanan masuk sesaat setelah consumer membeli produk di kios retailer dan notifikasi pesanan selesai sesaat setelah consumer menerima produk yang dibeli. Sedangkan, notifikasi yang diterima oleh consumer adalah notifikasi status pengiriman produk yang terbagi menjadi notifikasi pesanan dikemas, notifikasi pesanan dikirim/siap diambil, dan notifikasi pesanan sudah tiba di lokasi consumer.

Notification is a form of message addressed to application users. The existence of notifications in applications has a role to send important messages to users, especially when the user's device is in a state of off screen or when the user is not using the application. One of the uses of notifications can be implemented in e-commerce applications to notify sellers of incoming orders or to notify buyers of the delivery status of the products they have purchased. Seeing these problems, it can be concluded that a notification feature is needed in the KiosRakyat e-commerce android-based app. KiosRakyat application is a digital marketing application that connects grocery store owners (retailers) with consumers in real time. The notification system in this application is built using the Java programming language using the MySQL database and Retrofit API and using the Firebase Cloud Messaging service. Notifications built on the KiosRakyat application are intended for retailer users and consumer users. Notifications received by retailers are notification of orders coming in immediately after the consumer purchases the product at the retailer's grocery store and notification of the order being completed shortly after the consumer receives the product purchased. Meanwhile, notifications received by consumers are notification of product delivery status which is divided into notifications of packaged orders, notifications of orders sent/ready to be picked up, and notifications of orders that have arrived at the location of the consumer.
