Tugas akhir ini berjudul �Pemanfaatan aplikasi SIMPAN dalam Pengolahan Arsip Dinamis Inaktif Di Dinas Kearsipan dan Perpustakaan Kota Surakarta� merupakan bentuk peningkatan efisiensi sumber daya manusia dalam melaksanakan fungsi dan tugas pokok dalam pekerjaannya. Tujuan dari laporan tugas akhir ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana proses pengolahan arsip dinamis inaktif, pemanfaatan aplikasi SIMPAN dalam proses tersebut, sarana dan prasarana yaang digunakan serta kelebihan dan kekurangan pemanfaatan aplikasi SIMPAN untuk mendukung pengolahan arsip di Dinas Kearsipan dan Perpustakaan Kota Surakarta. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penulisan Tugas Akhir ini ada tiga yaitu, Studi Pustaka, Wawancara, dan Observasi Partisipatif. Studi Pustaka digunakan untuk menelaah referensi terkait pengolahan arsip inaktif yang relevan untuk membantu menganalisa fenomena dan data yang ditemukan dalam kajian. Pada metode wawancana, penulis menggali informasi dari narasumber untuk mendapatkan deskripsi mendalam tentang pemanfaatan aplikasi SIMPAN dalam Pengolahan arsip dinamis inaktif di Dinas Kearsipan dan Perpustakaan Kota Surakarta. Pengamatan dan turut serta pada aktivitas pengolahan arsip dinamis Inaktif memanfaatkan aplikasi SIMPAN di Dinas Kearsipan dan Perpustakaan Kota Surakarta menjadi gambaran pelaksanaan metode observasi partisipasi yang penulis lakukan. Pengolahan arsip dinamis inaktif di Dinas Kearsipan dan Perpustakaan Kota Surakarta terdiri dari tahapan pemilahan Arsip hingga Penataan Rak. Pemanfaatan aplikasi SIMPAN yang berada di tahapan pendekripsian arsip yang sangat mendukung efisiensi kerja dalam pengolahan arsip dinamis inaktif. Sarana dan prasarana yang digunakan terdiri dari laptop, scanner, komputer dan printer. Kelebihan dari aplikasi simpan adalah mudah diakses dan menghemat waktu tanpa ada proses manuver, tetapi juga masih terdapat beberapa kekekurangan dari pemanfaatan aplikasi Simpan yaitu adanya kendala pada aplikasi saat mengalami gangguan pada sistem yang baru dibenarkan.

This final project entitled "Utilization of the SIMPAN application in Inactive Dynamic Archive Processing at the Archive and Library Office of Surakarta City" is a form of increasing the efficiency of human resources in carrying out the main functions and tasks in their work. The purpose of this final report is to find out how the process of processing inactive dynamic archives, the use of the SIMPAN application in the process, the facilities and infrastructure used and the advantages and disadvantages of using the SIMPAN application to support archive processing at the Surakarta City Archive and Library Office. There are three research methods used in writing this Final Project, namely, Literature Study, Interview, and Participatory Observation. The Library Study is used to examine references related to the processing of relevant inactive archive to help analyze the phenomena and data found in the study. In the interview method, the author explores information from sources to get an in-depth description of the use of the SIMPAN application in processing inactive dynamic archive at the Surakarta City Archives and Library Office. Observing and participating in Inactive dynamic archive processing activities using the SIMPAN application at the Surakarta City Archives and Library Service is an illustration of the implementation of the participatory observation method that the author does. Processing of inactive dynamic archives at the Office of Archive and Libraries of Surakarta City consists of the stages of sorting archive to arrange shelves. Utilization of the SIMPAN application which is in the archive description stage which strongly supports work efficiency in processing inactive dynamic archives. The facilities and infrastructure used consist of laptops, scanners, computers and printers. The advantages of the SIMPAN application are that it is easy to access and saves time without any maneuvering process, but there are also some drawbacks to use the SIMPAN application, namely that there are problems with the application when there is interference with the newly justified system.
