Pengembangan Sistem Informasi Forum Berbasis Website pada Gerakan Sekolah Menyenangkan(GSM)

Gerakan Sekolah Menyenangkan (GSM) merupakan suatu gerakan sosial di bidang pendidikan yang digagas oleh Muhammad Nur Rizal dan Novi Poespita Candra pada tahun 2014. GSM berfokus untuk meningkatkan kualitas guru serta ekosistem pendidikan di sekolah-sekolah pinggiran yang tersebar di seluruh Indonesia. Di sisi lain, kebutuhan akan suatu media untuk bertukar pikiran dalam komunitas GSM belum terdokumentasi dengan baik dan layak. Selama ini para anggota GSM hanya bertukar pikiran atau berbagi metode pengajaran melalui suatu platform aplikasi chatting bernama WhatsApp. Semua obrolan atau pengalaman yang telah dibagikan oleh para anggota pun tidak terintegrasi dan tersimpan dengan baik. Pengembangan ini menerapkan metode waterfall model. Wawancara dilakukan beberapa kali dengan tim GSM untuk mendapatkan kebutuhan dan feedback produk yang dikembangkan. Dari wawancara tersebut, tim Capstone Project membangun sebuah sistem informasi forum yang bersifat terbuka untuk para anggota GSM maupun pengunjung umum yang belum menjadi anggota untuk saling bertukar pikiran dengan didukung oleh foto-foto yang dapat diunggah oleh para pengguna. Para pengguna pun dapat bertukar pikiran di dalam kolom komentar yang disediakan dan memberikan apresiasi kepada pengguna lainnya dengan apresiasi bentuk like. Platform ini menggunakan SQL sebagai pengelolaan database, PHP 7.3 sebagai bahasa pemrograman server-side, Visual Studio Code sebagai teks editor, template Bootstrap sebagai pengembangan front-end, dan Laravel 5.8 sebagai framework. Website GSM ini sudah melalui dua proses pengujian. Pengujian pertama yaitu pengujian fungsionalitas dengan metode Blackbox Testing dengan hasil pengujian fitur-fitur yang ada dalam sistem informasi forum berjalan dengan baik sudah memenuhi kebutuhan komunitas GSM. Pengujian kedua yaitu pengujian kebergunaan ISO 9126 dengan metode SUS (System Usability Scale) dengan skor 75,21 yang menandakan bahwa situs web yang dikembangkan memiliki usability good menurut para responden. Pengujian kebergunaan juga telah dipastikan reliabel dan valid karena sudah melalui uji reliabilitas dan uji validitas dengan hasil yang baik.

Gerakan Sekolah Menyenangkan (GSM) is a social movement in the field of education initiated by Muhammad Nur Rizal and Novi Poespita Candra in 2014. GSM focuses on improving the quality of teachers as well as the education ecosystem in outskirt schools throughout Indonesia. On the other side, the need for a medium for exchanging ideas in the GSM community has not been well documented. All this time, GSM members exchanged their ideas or shared their teaching methods through a chat application platform called WhatsApp. All the chats about the experiences that are shared by the members are not well integrated and saved. This development uses the waterfall method. We conducted several interviews with the GSM team to learn the needs and get the feedback on the product being developed. From the interview, the Capstone Project team built a forum information system that is open to GSM members and public visitors for ideas exchange and supported by photos uploaded by users. Users can also exchange ideas in the comment column provided and give appreciation to other users by the feature likes. This platform uses SQL as database management, PHP 7.3 as a server-side programming language, Visual Studio Code as a text editor, Bootstrap template as front-end development, and Laravel 5.8 as a framework. This GSM website has gone through two testing processes. The first test is functionality testing with the Blackbox method. The results of testing the features in the forum information system shows that it runs well and meets the needs of the GSM community. The second test is testing the usability of ISO 9126 with the SUS (System Usability Scale) method with a score of 75.21 which indicates that the website being developed has good usability according to the respondents. The usability test has also been confirmed to be reliable and valid because it has gone through the reliability and validity tests with good results.
