PROBLEM ETIS DIGITAL ART DITINJAU DARI PERSPEKTIF UTILITARIANISME JOHN STUART MILL

Skripsi berjudul "Problem Etis Digital Art Ditinjau Dari Perspektif Utilitarianisme John Stuart Mill" ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengertian mengenai digital art dan problem etisnya. Problem etis dalam digital art yaitu persoalan hak cipta dan ambiguitas posisi pencipta, yang merupakan implikasi dari kemajuan teknologi dalam digital art, yang kemudian dianalisis melalui sudut pandang etika utilitarianisme John Stuart Mill. Penelitian ini menggunakan model kajian kualitatif dan bersifat deskriptif mengenai fenomena aktual yang diperkuat dengan studi pustaka dan observasi melalui internet dan kepustakaan terkait tema penelitian. Penelitian dimulai dari pengumpulan data, klasifikasi data, analisis sintesis, hingga penyusunan penelitian. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskripsi, interpretasi, koherensi Intern, holistika, dan refleksi kritis. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dengan menggunakan etika utilitarianisme John Stuart Mill, diperoleh hasil bahwa digital art dan teknologinya adalah baik menurut etika utilitarianisme karena terbukti melalui kegunaannya yang mampu memberikan kebahagiaan terbesar. Hal ini diperoleh melalui pertimbangan kualitas kebahagiaan, perenungan hati dan akal, pendidikan, serta mengikuti aturan yang berlaku yang menjamin kebahagiaan umum dalam menyikapi persoalan problem etis pada digital art.

Research entitled "Ethical Problem of Digital Art from The Perspective of John Stuart Mill's Utilitarianism" aims to describe the notion of digital art and its ethical problems. Ethical problems in digital art are issues of copyright and the ambiguity of the author's position, which are the implications of technological advances in digital art, then analyze it from the point of view of John Stuart Mill's utilitarian ethics. This study uses a qualitative and descriptive study model of actual phenomena which is strengthened by literature study and observation via the internet and literature related to the research theme. The research started from data collection, data classification, synthesis analysis, to research preparation. The methods used in this research are description, interpretation, internal coherence, holistic, and critical reflection. Based on the results of the analysis using John Stuart Mill's utilitarian ethics, the results conclude that digital art and technology are good according to utilitarianism ethics because it is proven through its utility that it is able to provide the greatest happiness. This is obtained through consideration of the quality of happiness, reflection on the heart and mind, education, and following applicable rules that ensure general happiness in addressing ethical problems in digital art.
