Penelitian dilakukan di PT Tapian Nadenggan Jak Luay Mill yang merupakan salah satu unit pengolahan kelapa di Desa Jak Luay, Kecamatan Muara Wahau, Kabupaten Kutai Timur, Kalimantan Timur. Perusahaan ini mengolah tandan buah segar kelapa sawit menjadi Crude Palm Oil (CPO) dan biji kernel. Analisis keseimbangan lini penting untuk dilakukan karena memiliki peran penting untuk dapat memaksimalkan proses pengolahan sehingga jumlah buah tertunda untuk diolah (restan) dapat ditekan. Permasalahan terkait keseimbangan lini terjadi sebagai akibat dari perbedaan penyelesaian waktu siklus dari satu stasiun kerja ke stasiun kerja yang lainnya yang menyebabkan penumpukan material. Tujuan dari magang adalah untuk mengetahui permasalahan terkait keseimbangan lini pada bagian proses produksi line A. Data yang dibutuhkan dikumpulkan melalui kegitan observasi obyek, pengamatan serta pengukuran waktu proses, wawancara, dan studi literatur. Pengukuran waktu proses menggunakan metode stopwatch time untuk mengukur kebutuhan waktu tiap komponen kerja. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan diperoleh nilai efisiensi lini produksi A sebesar 38,26% dan nilai balance delay lini sebesar 61,74%. Terdapat beberapa titik yang terjadi bottleneck yang menyebabkan penumpukan produk work in process dan idle time. Perbaikan lini perlu dilakukan perusahaan dengan menambah kapasitas pada stasiun kerja sterilisasi dan klarifikasi serta pengaturan sequence time pada mesin digister press.

The research was conducted at PT Tapian Nadenggari Jak Luay Mill which is one of the coconut processing units in Jak Luay Village, Muara Wahau District, East Kutai Regency, East Kalimantan. This company processes fresh palm fruit bunches into Crude Palm Oil (CPO) and kernel seeds. The line balance analysis in the palm oil processing industry is important to do because it has an important role to be able to maximize the processing so that the amount of fruit delayed to be processed (restan) can be pressed. Problems related to line balance occur as a result of differences in completion of cycle times from one work station to another which causes material buildup. The purpose of this internship program is to find out the problems related to line balance in the production process of line A. The data needed is collected through the activity of object observation, observation and measurement processes, interviews, and literature studies. Process time measurement uses the stopwatch time method to measure the time requirements of each work component. Based on the calculation results, the efficiency of the production line A was 38,26% and the balance delay value was 61,74%. There are several points where bottlenecks occur that cause buildup of work in process product and idle time. The company needs to improve the line by adding capacity in the sterilizing and clarification workstations as well as setting the sequence time for the digister press machine.
