NOVEL SAMPUR PAMBAYUN KARYA R. TOTO SUGIHARTO ANALISIS PLOT DAN PENOKOHAN

Novel Sampur Pambayun adalah sebuah novel berbahasa Jawa karangan R. Toto Sugiharto. Novel ini diterbitkan pada tahun 2018 oleh Dinas Kebudayaan Provinsi Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Novel Sampur Pambayun merupakan salah satu pemenang lomba menulis novel yang diselenggarakan oleh Dinas Kebudayaan Provinsi Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta pada tahun 2018. Novel ini menceritakan tentang kehidupan salah seorang tokoh bernama Seta. Seta sangat mencintai tokoh bernama Sukaeni di masa mudanya. Hal ini membuat istri Seta merasa cemburu sehingga terjadi banyak peristiwa untuk mencari tahu jati diri Sukaeni atau Pacar Banyu. Penelitian ini mengkaji novel Sampur Pambayun dengan teori plot yang riangkum oleh Burhan Nurgiyantoro dan teori penokohan yang dirangkum oleh Albertine Minderop. Novel Sampur Pambayun menarik untuk diteliti karena alur cerita dan permasalahan dalam novel ini dipengaruhi oleh karakter para tokoh. Teori plot yang dirangkum Burhan Nurgiyantoro digunakan untuk menganalisis jalan cerita yang terbangun dari peristiwa-peristiwa yang ada dalam novel ini. Teori penokohan yang dirangkum Albertine Minderop digunakan untuk menggambarkan watak yang dimiliki para tokoh dan bagaimana penokohan menggerakkan plot cerita. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa plot dalam novel Sampur Pambayun masuk ke dalam beberapa pembedaan plot berdasarkan waktu, jumlah, dan kepadatan. Peristiwa dalam novel ini juga memenuhi unsur-unsur pada bagian-bagian plot seperti tahap awal, pertengahan, akhir, dan tahap-tahap lain. Pada analisis penokohan, penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penokohan dapat menggerakkan alur dan memunculkan permasalahan dalam novel ini. Watak masing-masing tokoh menyebabkan berbagai peristiwa yang terus bergerak hingga mencapai puncak permasalahan dan penyelesaiannya.

Sampur Pambayun is a Javanese Novel written by R. Toto Sugiharto. The Novel was published in 2018 by the Cultural Office of Special Region of Yogyakarta Province (Dinas Kebudayaan Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta). Sampur Pambayun is one of the winners in the novel-writing competition held by the Cultural Office of Special Region of Yogyakarta Province in 2018. Sampur Pambayun tells the story of Seta's life. In his youth, Seta loved a girl named Sukaeni. This makes Seta's wife jealous, hence many events happened in the novel in order to figure out the identity of Sukaeni or Pacar Banyu. This research analyzes the novel Sampur Pambayun, with the theory of plot summarized by Burhan Nurgiyantoro and the theory of characterizations summarized by Albertine Minderop. Sampur Pambayun is interesting to analyze because the storyline and the problems in this novel are influenced by the characters. The theory of the plot summarized by Burhan Nurgiyantoro is used to analyze the storyline, which is made up of events that exist in this novel. The theory of characterizations summarized by Albertine Minderop is used to describe the characters and how these characterizations execute the plot of the story. The results of this research show that the plot in the novel Sampur Pambayun can fall into plot categorizations based on time, amount, and density of the plot. The events in this novel also fulfil the elements in the parts of a plot such as begining, middle, end, etc. In the analysis of the characterizations, this research shows that the characterizations can execute the plot and even bring out problems in the novel. The character of each figure leads to a variety of events that continues to move until it reaches the peak of the problem and the solution.
