Ruang Seni Di Kota Yogyakarta Strategi Dan Negosiasi Seni Jalanan

Aksi ilegal seni jalanan dikota Yogyakarta muncul dan berkembang pesat setelah diskusi Seni Ruang Publik di Rumah Seni Cemeti pada tahun 2000. Perkembangan ini memicu permasalahan menyangkut penataan dan penetapan citra kota yang telah diatur oleh pemerintah kota Yogyakarta. Menyangkut penetapan citra kota, keilegalan aksi ini selanjutnya diakomodasi melalui penyediaan fasilitas dan pendanaan. Fasilitas yang diberikan pemegang kewenangan dan beragam praktik seniman memunculkan pergulatan di wilayah representasi dan juga ruang representasional kota Yogyakarta. Pada satu sisi beberapa seniman menerima fasilitas pemerintah, tetapi disisi lain tetap beraksi secara bebas sebagaimana spirit seni jalanan Untuk mengurai praktik seniman jalanan terkait penataan ruang seni di kota Yogyakarta, penelitian ini menggunakan metode etnografi dan menerapkan konsep produksi ruang Henri Lefebvre mencakup praktik spasial, representasi ruang dan ruang representasional. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa upaya penetapan citra kota menimbulkan beragam pergulatan. Representasi ruang dan ruang representasional kota tidak secara tegas menetapkan ruang bagi seni jalanan tetapi ditetapkan dengan menyesuaikan praktik spasial seniman, wujudnya berupa akomodasi dan fasilitasi yang diarahkan pada tujuan penetapan citra kota sebagai bentuk apropriasi keberadaan seni jalanan. Praktik spasial yang dilakukan oleh seniman terkait akomodasi, telah mencabut spirit seni jalanan dan memunculkan kemungkinan kemapanan profesi. Pada sisi lain, praktik spasial yang dilakukan merupakan bentuk negosiasi serta strategi untuk mencapai posisi pada dua tujuan sekaligus, kemapanan profesi kesenimanan sekaligus kebebasan seniman di jalanan.

Illegal street art in the city of Yogyakarta have appeared and have been growing since a talk called Seni Ruang Publik in Cemeti Art House in 2000. The development of these arts fuel problems dealing with the city plan and the image of the city wich before have been determined by the local government of Yogyakarta. Alludes to the city image determination these illegal arts then are accommodated by the local government and some art practices by providing facilities and fund. However the accommodation given arose matters in representation and in representational space of the city. In one side some artists use the facilities but still these artists perform illegally as the spirit of illegal art will always find the way. To discuss this illegal practices which deal with the city art plan of Yogyakarta, the researcher use ethnography method and applies Henri Lefebvre concept of the production of space that includes spatial practices, representation of space and representational space. The outcome of this research suggest that the determination of city art plan bear problems. The city representation of space and representational space do not clearly state spaces for street arts but it is determined by adjusting spatial practices of the artists in forms of accommodation and facilities that is led to a purpose of the city image as a kind of appropriation of the existence of the street arts. The spatial practices of the street artist related to the accommodation has taken away the spirit of street arts and has emerged possibilities of professional establishment. In other side the spatial practice is a form of a negotiation and a strategy as well to achieve two goals at the same time, a stability of profession as an artist and freedom of street art.
