Perlawanan terhadap Konstruksi Kecantikan dalam Komik Lucky Luke Volume 30 Karya Morris & Goscinny

Konstruksi kecantikan merupakan aturan dan standar tentang kecantikan yang diyakini oleh masyarakat. Hal tersebut dapat mengontrol kehidupan perempuan. Secara tidak langsung, perempuan diharuskan untuk memiliki dan melakukan hal-hal tertentu agar dapat disebut cantik. Sebagian perempuan melakukan perlawanan terhadap konstruksi kecantikan agar dapat hidup sesuai keinginan pribadi. Tetapi, perempuan juga melakukan negosiasi terhadap perlawanan tersebut agar dapat diterima di masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bentuk-bentuk perlawanan dan negosiasi terhadap konstruksi kecantikan yang dilakukan oleh tokoh utama perempuan dalam komik. Data yang digunakan adalah komik berjudul Lucky Luke volume 30 karya Morris & Goscinny. Adapun metode yang diterapkan yaitu analisis isi. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori mitos kecantikan oleh Naomi Wolf yang memiliki berbagai indikator. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tokoh utama perempuan dalam komik tersebut melakukan perlawanan dan negosiasi dalam tiga indikator, yakni penampilan fisik, pekerjaan, dan kebudayaan.

Social construction of beauty is a rule and standard of beauty that is believed by the community. It can control the lives of women. Indirectly, women are required to have and do certain things in order to be called beautiful. Some women resist the social construction of beauty so they can live according to their personal desires. However, women also negotiate the resistance to be accepted in the community. This research aims to find out the forms of resistance and negotiation towards the social construction of beauty carried out by the main female character in comic. The data used is a comic entitled Lucky Luke volume 30 by Morris & Goscinny. The method applied is content analysis. This research uses the theory of beauty myth by Naomi Wolf which has various indicators. The results of the research showed that the main female character in this comic were resisting and negotiating in three indicators, namely physical appearance, work, and culture.
