KONSEP BITCOIN DALAM PERSPEKTIF PRINSIP-PRINSIP ETIKA BISNIS

Perkembangan teknologi mendorong perkembangan dalam kegiatan ekonomi. Alat pembayaran berbasis digital dengan teknologi kriptografi (cryptocurrency) yang paling populer adalah Bitcoin. Sebagai mata uang kripto, Bitcoin memiliki terobosan baru dengan konsep sistem keuangan tanpa server pengendali pusat. Keunggulan dari Bitcoin membuat penggunaan dan nilainya semakin meningkat. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis konsep Bitcoin dalam perspektif prinsip-prinsip etika bisnis. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan kajian mengenai konsep Bitcoin dengan metode studi pustaka. Dilakukan inventarisasi data dari berbagai sumber pustaka. Selanjutnya, dilakukan kategorisasi terhadap sumber-sumber pustaka yang telah diperoleh. Tahapan ini dilanjutkan dengan pengklasifikasian serta inventarisasi data. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan metode deskriptif, verstehen atau pemahaman karakteristik, kemudian dilakukan pemahaman filosofis dengan interpretasi, dan penangkapan makna dengan hermeunetika. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsep Bitcoin diciptakan untuk mengatasi permasalahan kepercayaan pengendali pusat dalam sistem keuangan. Konsep Bitcoin sebagai sistem pembayaran desentralisasi berbasis kriptografi dengan menggunakan pencatatatan Blockchain mengimplementasikan prinsip-prinsip etika bisnis terutama terkait kepercayaan. Namun untuk perkembangan Bitcoin, prinsip-prinsip etika bisnis diterapkan oleh para pengembang, penambang, komunitas, dan pelaku bisnis Bitcoin.

Technological developments encourage developments in economic activity. Digital-based payment tool with the most popular cryptography (cryptocurrency) technology is Bitcoin. As a cryptocurrency,Bitcoin has a new breakthrough with the concept of a financial system without a central control server. The advantages of Bitcoin make its use and value increase. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the concept of Bitcoin in the perspective of business ethics principles. The study study about the concept of Bitcoin was conducted by literature review method, then it was continued by data inventory from various library sources. After that, the library sources were categorized, then the data that has been obtained were classified and inventoried. After being inventoried, the data were analyzed using descriptive, verstehen or characteristic understood, after that it was continued by philosophical understood with interpretation, and meaningful catch with hermeunetic methods. The results of the study indicate that the concept of Bitcoin was created to overcome the problems of central controllers trust in the financial system. The concept of Bitcoin as a cryptographic based decentralized payment system that implements the principles of business ethics especially regard trust. But for the development of Bitcoin, business ethics principles are applied by developers, miners communities and Bitcoin business people.
