ANALISIS POTENSI PENCAHAYAAN ALAMI DI GEDUNG PERPUSTAKAAN FAKULTAS TEKNIK UNIVERSITAS GADJAH MADA

Perpustakaan sebagai sarana penunjang kegiatan belajar harus dapat memberikan kenyamanan bagi para penggunanya. Sistem pencahayaan yang baik menjadi salah satu faktor penting penunjang kenyamanan. Sistem pencahayaan yang baik merupakan integrasi antara pencahayaan alami dan pencahayaan buatan. Sistem pencahayaan alami memiliki dampak positif seperti meningkatkan kenyamanan dan produktivitas, serta desain pencahayaan alami yang baik dapat menghemat konsumsi energi listrik yang digunakan untuk menyalakan lampu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan potensi pencahayaan alami sekaligus merupakan langkah awal dalam mendesain sistem pencahayaan alami yang baik pada Gedung Perpustakaan Fakultas Teknik Universitas Gadjah Mada. Potensi pencahayaan alami didapat dengan cara menganalisis karakterisik nilai daylight factor (DF) seperti keseragaman dan nilai DF rata-rata pada ruang baca lantai 1 sisi Timur. Perhitungan nilai DF dilakukan dengan program simulasi Ecotect dan Radiance. Hasil simulasi nilai DF kedua program tersebut kemudian divalidasi dengan pengukuran langsung di lapangan. Hasil pengukuran langsung menghasilkan nilai DFrata-rata sebesar 0,80%. Hasil simulasi menggunakan Ecotect menghasilkan nilai DFrata-rata sebesar 2,73%, selisish 1,93% dari hasil pengukuran langsung. Hasil simulasi menggunakan Radiance menghasilkan nilai DFrata-rata sebesar 1,23%, selisih 0,43%. Berdasarkan data tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa simulasi menggunakan Radiance menghasilkan data nilai DF yang lebih valid dibandingkan dengan Ecotect. Berdasarkan hasil simulasi menggunakan Radiance, nilai DFrata-rata pada ruang baca lantai 1 perpustakaan teknik UGM masih di bawah standar minimum DFrata-rata untuk ruang baca sebesar 1,50%.

The library building as a learning facilities must be able to provide comfort for the user. A good lighting system became one of the important factors that affects user's comfort. A good lighting system is the integration of natural lighting and artificial lighting. Natural lighting has a positive impact such as improve comfort and productivity, a well-designed natural lighting system or daylighting can performs energy savings by minimize the comsumption of electrical energy that are utilized for artificial lighting. This research aims to get the potential of natural lighting as well as the initial step in designing a good daylighting system at Gadjah Mada University Engineering Faculty Library. Natural lighting potential can be acquired by analyze the value of daylight factor (DF) characteristic such as the average value and DF uniformity on the reading room 1st floor, East side area. The calculation of DF value is done by using two simulation programs, namely Ecotect and Radiance. The simulation results in the value of DF from both programs then validated with direct measurement in the field. The direct measurement produces DF value by an average of 0,80%, while simulation result using Ecotect produces DF value by an average of 2,73%, this result have a margin of 1,93% from direct measurement. Meanwhile, the simulation result using Radiance produces DF value by an average of 1,23%, which is have a margin of 0,43% from direct measurement. Based on the results, can be concluded that the simulation using Radiance produces more valid DF value compared with Ecotect. Based on simulation using Radiance, the average value of DF on the reading room 1st floor East side area is still below the minimum standard of average value of DF for reading room, namely of 1,5%
