Resiko terjadinya kecelakaan kerja dan terjangkitnya penyakit salah satu hal yang menjadi fokus di ergonomi. Faktor yang mempengaruhi besarnya probabilitas kecelakaan kerja dan penyakit ialah stres di tempat kerja. Salah satu cara mengatasi stres dengan psikoterapi mendengarkan musik berdasarkan preferensi. Musik dengan preferensi tinggi ialah musik pop. Musik tentunya berhubungan dengan emosi dan tak lepas dari kepribadian setiap manusia. Simulasi stressor yang digunakan ialah short term memory test dan tes Pauli. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui pengaruh genre musik pop dan kepribadian yang terbagi menjadi ekstrover dan introver terhadap performa short term memory dan performa pengerjaan tes Pauli Responden yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 20 orang yang dibagi berdasar jenis kelamin serta kepribadian introver dan ekstrover. Setiap responden menjalani 2 sesi penelitian yang terdiri perlakuan tanpa musik dan perlakuan dengan musik dalam pengerjaan short term memory test dan tes Pauli. Short term memory test dinilai berdasarkan jumlah digit angka yang dijawab benar sedangkan tes Pauli dinilai tingkat kecepatan, ketelitian dan kestabilan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan perlakuan musik pop berpengaruh signifikan pada performa short term memory. Musik pop terbukti menurunkan performa short term memory. Namun perlakuan musik pop terhadap performa pengerjaan tes Pauli tidak berpengaruh signifikan. Pada penelitian ini juga diperoleh bahwa kepribadian yang terbagi menjadi introver dan ekstrover tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap performa short term memory test dan performa pengerjaan tes Pauli. Namun pada penelitian ini diperoleh hasil adanya interaksi yang signifikan antara jenis kelamin dan kepribadian pada performa kecepatan dan kestabilan pengerjaan Tes Pauli. Laki- laki dengan kepribadian ekstrover memiliki performa kecepatan dan kestabilan tes Pauli lebih tinggi dibandingkan kepribadian introver sedangkan pada perempuan kepribadian ekstrover memiliki performa kecepatan dan kestabilan tes Pauli lebih rendah dibandingkan kepribadian introver.

The risk of accidents and diseases to happen is one of focuses in Ergonomics. The factor that influences the probability of accidents and diseases is the stress in workplace. One of the ways to overcome the stress is by adapting the psychotherapy which is listening to music according to the preference. Music that has a high preference is pop music. Music is related to emotions and it cannot be separated from human�s personality. The stressor simulation that is used is short term memory test and Pauli test. The aim of this study is to find out the influence of pop music and personality which categorized into extrovert and introvert towards the performance of short term memory and Pauli test. There are 20 respondents in this study that are categorized based on their sex and their personality which are introvert and extrovert. Every respondent is involved in two sessions of research which are the treatment without music and the treatment with music in the short term memory test and Pauli test. The short term memory test is valued from the number of answers that are correct while the Pauli test is valued from the speed, accuracy and stability. The result of this study indicates that the treatment of pop music influences the performance of the short term memory significantly. Pop music is proven to decrease the performance of short term memory. However, the treatment of pop music towards the performance of Pauli test is not significantly influential. Another result of this study is that the introvert and extrovert personality are not significant towards the performance of short term memory and the Pauli test. However, this study shows that there is a significant interaction between sex and personality in the performance of the speed and the stability in doing the Pauli test. Males with extrovert personality have the higher performance in the speed and the stability in doing the Pauli test compared to the ones who have the introvert personality. Meanwhile, females with extrovert personality have the lower performance in the speed and stability in doing the Pauli test compared to the ones who have the introvert personality.
