Tugas akhir ini berjudul “Analisis Status Sosial Masyarakat Korea yang Muncul dalam Drama Televisi Cheongdam-dong Alice.” Penelitian ini telah dilakukan untuk mengetahui mengenai status sosial dan representasi status sosial serta dampak dari status sosial masyarakat Korea yang muncul dalam drama televisi Choengdam-dong Alice. Drama Korea Cheongdam-dong Alice dipilih karena pada drama tersebut banyak terdapat adegan yang menggambarkan kehidupan status sosial masyarakat Korea. Status sosial masyarakat Korea yang muncul dalam drama Korea televisi Cheongdam-dong Alice yaitu status sosial seorang anak pengusaha kaya, seorang wanita dari keluarga sederhana, istri seorang pengusaha kaya, dan makcomblang terkenal. Sedangkan representasi status sosial yang muncul antara lain adalah pendidikan dan wawasan tinggi, gaya dan kualitas pakaian, apartemen yang dilengkapi dengan fasilitas mewah, kekuasaan, pekerjaan dan jabatan tinggi, menyewa hotel mewah, memakai sepatu usang, menggunakan ponsel model lama dan terlilit hutang. Kemudian dampak yang muncul dari adanya status sosial di masyarakat Korea ialah menjadikan bisnis sebagai segalanya dalam kehidupan, munculnya wanita Gold Digger di masyarakat Korea, pencitraan, mencelakai diri sendiri, percintaan yang tidak berjalan lancar, merelakan kebahagiaan dan cinta serta sulit diterima di keluarga status sosial tinggi.

This final paper title is "Korean Society Status Analysis based on the Cheongdam-dong Alice TV Drama". This study has been conducted to determine the image of the social status, social representative status and social status as well as the impact of social status that appear in the Korean TV drama Cheongdam dong Alice. Cheongdam-dong Alice Korean TV Drama is chosen for this final paper for its remarkable amount of scenes that shows the life of Korean society social status. Social statuses that appear in the Korean TV drama Cheongdam-dong Alice are social status of a child of a rich businessman, a woman from modest family, the wife of wealthy businessman, and a famous matchmaker. On the other hand, the social status representative that appears are high education and insight, fashion style and its quality; luxurious apartment with its facilities, power, occupations and top management jobs, renting luxurious hotels, the usage of broken down shoes and retro mobile phones, and being knee-deep in debt. Along with that, the effects that come up from all the perks from having this kind of lifestyle are the people that makes business to be the center of their world, the appearance of gold digger women in Korean society and imagery, self-harm, a love that keeps challenged by many obstacles, the sacrifice of happiness and love for how difficult it is to be accepted within a family where everybody in it was born with silver spoon in their mouth.
