Sungai Donan merupakan sungai yang terletak pada area industri kilang minyak Pertamina yang cenderung potensial mencemari air sungai. Potensi pencemaran dipengaruhi oleh karakteristik spesifik industri kilang minyak dan adanya saluran air limbah yang mengalir ke Sungai Donan. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui kualitas air limbah pada outlet saluran air limbah Pertamina dibandingkan dengan baku mutu Peraturan Daerah Provinsi Jawa Tengah No.5 Tahun 2012, mengetahui kualitas air pada perairan Sungai Donan yang berasosiasi dengan saluran pembuangan air limbah kilang minyak Pertamina serta pengaruh air limbah terhadap kualitas air Sungai Donan dibandingkan dengan klasifikasi mutu air kelas III baku mutu Peraturan Pemerintah No.82 Tahun 2001. Kualitas air ditentukan dengan melakukan analisis terhadap parameter-parameter fisika dan kimia. Parameter fisika yang di uji adalah suhu, warna, bau, rasa, kekeruhan, total suspended solid (TSS), total dissolved solid (TDS) dan daya hantar listrik (DHL). Parameter kimia yang di uji adalah pH, BOD (Biochemical Oxygen Demand), COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand), DO (Dissolved Oxygen), fenol, sulfida (H2S), timbal (Pb), merkuri (Hg) dan kandungan minyak (Oil Content). Pengambilan sampel air dilakukan dengan cara purposive sampling. Analisis kualitas air limbah Pertamina dilakukan dengan membandingkan hasil uji dengan baku mutu Peraturan Daerah Provinsi Jawa Tengah No.5 Tahun 2012. Analisis kualitas air Sungai Donan dilakukan dengan membandingkan hasil uji dengan klasifikasi mutu air kelas III baku mutu Peraturan Pemerintah No.82 Tahun 2001. Nilai kualitas air pada air limbah Pertamina dan Sungai Donan digambarkan dengan tabel, grafik dan peta. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa air limbah Pertamina memiliki debit sebesar 10,077 m³/detik. Sungai Donan memiliki debit 611,413 m³/detik. Seluruh parameter kualitas air limbah secara fisika dan kimia outlet saluran air limbah Pertamina RU IV Cilacap sesuai dengan baku mutu Peraturan Daerah Provinsi Jawa Tengah No.5 Tahun 2012. Terdapat parameter fisika maupun kimia pada kualitas air Sungai Donan yang tidak sesuai dengan klasifikasi mutu air kelas III baku mutu Peraturan Pemerintah No.82 Tahun 2001, yaitu antara lain : suhu, TSS, TDS, BOD, COD, oil content dan timbal. Berdasarkan distribusinya, titik sampel C yang berada setelah outlet saluran air limbah Pertamina merupakan titik sampel yang dominan mengalami pencemaran air akibat pengaruh air limbah dari kilang minyak Pertamina.

Donan River is a river located in the industrial area of Pertamina oil refinery that tend to potentially pollute the river water. Pollution potency is influenced by the specific characteristics of the oil refinery industry and the absence of sewerage flowing into the Donan River. The aims of the study is to determining the quality of wastewater at the outlet of Pertamina sewerage and comparing with the wastewater quality standard of the Central Java Provincial Regulation No. 5 in 2012, the water quality of Donan River and analyze the effect of wastewater of Pertamina on Donan River water quality and comparing with the class III water quality standard of Government Regulation No.82 in 2001. The water quality is determined by analyzing the parameters of physical and chemical. Physical parameters tested are pH, temperature, color, odor, taste, turbidity, total suspended solids (TSS), total dissolved solids (TDS) and electrical conductivity (EC). Chemical parameters tested are pH, Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD), Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), Dissolved Oxygen (DO), phenols, sulfide (H2S), lead (Pb), mercury (Hg) and oil content. The water sampling is conducted by purposive sampling. The analysis of Pertamina wastewater quality is conducted by comparing the test results with the standard quality of the Central Java Provincial Regulation No. 5 in 2012. The analysis of Donan River water quality is conducted by comparing the test results with the class III water quality classification standard quality Government Regulation No.82 in 2001. The results showed that the Pertamina wastewater discharge is 10.077 m³/sec. Donan River discharge is 611.413 m³/sec. All parameters of physical and chemical wastewater quality on sewerage outlet Pertamina RU IV Cilacap are in accordance with the quality standard of Government Regulation No. 5 in 2012. There are physical and chemical parameters of the Donan River water quality which is not in accordance with the classification of grade III water quality standard quality Government Regulation No. 82 of 2001, among other things: temperature, TSS, TDS, BOD, COD, oil content and lead. Based on the distribution, the point C sample which is located after the outlet of Pertamina sewerage is a sample point that mostly occurred water pollution because of the effect of wastewater from Pertamina oil refinery.
