INTISARI Komponen utama dari rotor sebuah Generator adalah magnet. Magnet ini dapat berupa magnet permanen maupun magnet yang dibangkitkan dengan menggunakan kumparan. Pada Generator yang menggunakan kumparan sebagai magnet buatan, maka dibutuhkan arus listrik (DC) yang mengalir ke kumparan tersebut. Proses dari pembangkitan medan magnet secara buatan pada Generator inilah yang disebut dengan proses Eksitasi. Thyristor digunakan untuk menyearahkan arus AC ke arus DC dari Generator ke exciter. LED merupakan sebagai indikator Thyristor Eksitasi, apabila ¾ kotak LED indikator Thyristor Eksitasi mati, maka akan terjadi trip di unit Gas Turbine. Oleh karena itu untuk meningkatkan kehandalan kinerja pada Eksitasi Generator di Unit Gas Turbine, agar Unitnya tidak terjadi trip yang menyebabkan hasil pendapatan produksi Unit berkurang. Perlunya diadakan pengecekan Card Thyristor , power supply AC-DC atau DC-DC menggunakan Oscilloscope secara periodik.

ABSTRACT The main components of a generator rotor is a magnet. These magnets can be permanent magnets or magnets that are generated using the coil. On Generator that uses a magnetic coil as artificial, then the required electrical current (DC) flowing into the coil. The process of generating the magnetic field artificially Generator is called the excitation process. Thyristors used to rectify the AC current to DC current from the generator to the exciter. LED is an indicator of Thyristor Excitation, if ¾ box Thyristor Excitation indicator LED die, there will be a trip in Gas Turbine unit. Therefore, to improve the reliability performance on Excitation Gas Turbine Generator Unit, that unit was not going on the trip that led to reduced unit production revenue. Card checks need of holding thyristor, power supply AC-DC or DC-DC using Oscilloscope periodically.
