Information technology adoption :: An Individual acceptance

Meningkatnya penggunaan Teknologi infonnasi (TI) sebagai alat untuk mencapai keuntungan kompetitif, menjadikan adopsi TI sangat penting bagi suatu perusahaan. Sebagai pengguna TI, penerimaan individual terhadap adopsi TI menjadi kunci untuk suksesnya adopsi TI bagi pentsahaan. Dengan demikian, memahami faktor-faktor penting yang mempengaruhi adopsi TI bagi individu dalam perusahaan sangatlah penting. Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) dan atribut dari Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Responden dalam penelitiaL ini adalah pengguna sistem Layanan Kredit Personal (LKP) dan sistem Layanan Bisnis Ritel (LBF) di PT Bank BNI, Tbk. Dua hipotesis dalam penelitian ini diuji menggunakan regresi ganda. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa secara bersamaan, altitude, subjective norm dan perceived behavioral control mempengaruhi behavioral intention dalam adopsi sistem secara signifikan. Selain itu, secara bersamaan, perceived usefidness dan perceived ease of use secara signifikan mempengaruhi altitude karyawan dalam adopsi sistem. Di antara independen variabel lainnya, perceived behavioral control adalah variabel yang paling signifikan dalam mempengaruhi behavioral intention. Untuk model yang kedua, hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa perceived uselidness adalah prediktor attitude terhadap adopsi sistem yang lebih signifikan, daripada perceived ease of use.

The increasing usage of Information Technology (IT) as a tool to reach competitive advantage makes IT adoption becomes very important to a company. As a user of IT, individual acceptance toward IT adoption becomes a key to the successful IT adoption for the company. Thus understanding the important factors affecting the adoption of IT for individual within the company is crucial. The Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) and the attributes form the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) are used in this research: The respondent of this research is the user of Consumer Loan Center (CLC) system and Small Business Center (SBC) system in PT Bank BNL Tbk. TWo hypotheses were tested using multiple regressions. The results from this study suggest that in aggregate, attitude, subjective norm and perceived behavioral controf significantly affected behavioral intention toward the system adoption. The second point is that in aggregate, perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use significantly . affected the employees' attitude in the system adoption. Among the other independent variables to determine behavioral intention, perceived; behavioral control is found to be the most significant predictor. For the second model, the result from this. study suggests that perceived usefulness is more significant as a predictor of individual attitude in the system adoption than perceived ease of use.
