Hubungan sistem kompensasi insentif dengan kepuasan kerja ditinjau dari tingkat pendidikan, kelas jabatan dan bidang kerja pada unit terminal peti kemas Belawan

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara sistem kompensasi insentif dengan kepuasan kerja karyawan Unit UTPK Belawan. Dalam usaha meningkatkan kuaitas penelitian ini, data dari 55 orang responden sebelum dilakukan analisis terlebih dilakukan uji asumsi. Hasil Uji asumsi menunjukkan bahwa data variabel-variabel penelitian normal dan homogen serta hubungan antara variabel dependen dengan independen linear. Untuk mengetahui tingkat kepuasan kerja karyawan digunakan angket kepuasan kerja dan data tentang sistem kompensasi insentif digunakan data rata-rata besaran insentif yang diterima pegawai selama enam bulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada hubungan yang signifikan antara sistem kompensasi insentif dengan kepuasan kerja pegawai Unit UTPK Belawan. Disamping itu, ditemukan juga bahwa tidak ada perbedaan tingkat kepuasan kerja yang signifikan antara para pegawai yang bekerja pada bidang operator dan non operator, antara kelompok kelas jabatan tinggi, menengah dan rendah, dan antara pegawai yang berpendidikan tinggi (S-1 & S2), menengah (D-3), dan rendah (SD, SLTP,SLTA).

This research was intended to find out relationship between incentive compensation system and job satisfaction of employees of UTPK Unit of Belawan. In order to increase the quality of the research, data from 55 respondents, before conducting the analysis, the first step conducted an assumption tested. The result of assumption tested proved that variable data of research were normal and homogenous, and the relationship between each variable was independent and dependent linear. To identify degree of job satisfaction of employees was used polls of job satisfaction and data of incentive compensation system was used average of incentive extent received by the employees during six months. The result of this research has indicated that there is not any significant relationship between the incentive compensation system and the job satisfaction of employees of UTPK Unit of Belawan: In addition, it has been found out that there is not any significant difference of extent of job satisfaction between employees who work as operator and non-operator, between management level, medium level and lower level, and between the high educated (S-1 & S-2), the medium educated (D-3), and the low educated employees (Elementary School, Lower Secondary School, and Upper Secondary School).
