PENGUKURAN HOMOGENITAS SUHU PADA WATER BATH SEBAGAI MEDIA KALIBRASI SUHU

Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang pengukuran homogenitas suhu pada water bath sebagai media kalibrasi suhu. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui homogenitas suhu di water bath Memmert bervolume 45L. Homogenitas adalah variasi nilai terbesar dan nilai terkecil di suatu area/volum. Pengukuran ini guna mengetahui kelayakan water bath tersebut untuk mengkalibrasi termometer. Penelitian menggunakan metode membandingkan suhu di titik yang satu dengan titik yang lainnya. Pengukuran dilakukan dengan menggunakan termometer standar. Nilai homogenitas didapatkan dari selisih suhu terbesar dengan suhu terkecil. Untuk menentukan kelayakan water bath Memmert dilakukan uji banding kalibrasi termometer gelas dengan resolusi 0,2°C di water bath tersebut dengan water bath yang telah terakreditasi nasional di LPPT. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan homogenitas water bath di suhu 50°C dan 70°C sebesar 0,6°C, dan pada suhu 90°C sebesar 0,75°C. Dari hasil uji banding, water bath Memmert setara dengan water bath LPPT yang telah terakreditasi nasional, dan layak digunakan untuk melakukan fungsinya sebagai media kalibrasi yang dapat mengkalibrasi termometer dengan resolusi kecil.

Research on the measurement of temperature homogeneity in the water bath as the medium temperature calibration has been done. This research was conducted in order to determine the homogeneity of the temperature in the water bath Memmert volume of 45L. Homogeneity is the variation of the largest and the smallest value in an area/volume. This measurement was determine the feasibility of the water bath to calibrate a thermometer. Research using the method of comparing the temperature at one point with another point. Measurements were made using a standard thermometer. Values the homogeneity obtained from the difference of the biggest temperature with the smallest temperature. To determine the feasibility of water bath Memmert conducted comparative tests with a glass thermometer calibration by the resolution of 0.2°C in that water bath with water bath which has been nationally accredited in LPPT. The results showed the homogeneity of the water bath at 50°C and 70°C by 0.6°C, and at a temperature of 90°C at 0.75°C. From the results of comparative tests, water bath Memmert equivalent to water bath LPPT nationally accredited, and fit for use to perform its function as media calibration to calibrate a thermometer by small resolution.
