Penerapan Intermediary sebagai Public Endpoint Web Service untuk Aplikasi Mobile pada Sistem Informasi Akademik UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta

Pengembangan sebuah situs web menggunakan aplikasi mobile dapat mengurangi penggunaan bandwidth dan dapat mengakses sebuah situs web walaupun dengan koneksi internet berkecepatan rendah. Aplikasi mobile SIA yang diimplementasikan di UIN Sunan Kalijaga menggunakan web service memiliki celah yang terbuka dan dapat menimbulkan peluang penyalahgunaan. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk pemanfaatan suatu intermediary public enpoint sebagai pengamanan dalam pengaksesan dari aplikasi mobile ke web service dan pengurangan beban pada traffic jaringan. Pengujian dilakukan terhadap efektifitas intermediary sebagai public endpoint dan fungsional intermediary terhadap pengurangan beban pada traffic jaringan. Beberapa modul digunakan untuk mewakili pengecekan kesesuaian data pada aplikasi mobile dengan data pada intermediary. Pada pengujian ini menggunakan data akun yang sama antara aplikasi mobile dan intermediary. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa intermediary dapat digunakan sebagai public endpoint untuk aplikasi mobile SIA. Kehadiran intermediary sebagai public endpoint membuat web service UIN tetap sebagai private endpoint. Intermediary yang diterapkan memuat fitur penting berupa pesan routing, keamanan, dan transformasi. Intermediary web service dapat memperkecil beban traffic jaringan karena response melalui proses filtering terlebih dahulu. Penggunaan filtering pada intermediary ini membuat lebih efisien karena informasi yang diberikan oleh intermediary melalui aplikasi mobile SIA dengan informasi dari situs web SIA adalah sama.

The purpose of the research was to use an intermediary as public enpoint as a safety in accessing from mobile applications to web services and the reduction of traffic load on the network. The experiment was conducted on the effectiveness of public intermediary as an endpoint and functional intermediary to the reduction of traffic load on the network. Some modules were used to represent data consistency checks on mobile applications with data obtained on the intermediary. In the experiment using the same account data between mobile applications and intermediary. The results showed that the intermediary could be used as a public endpoints for applications of mobileSIA. The presence of intermediary as a public web service endpoint making UIN remain as private endpoint. Intermediary applied contains important features such as message routing, security, and transformation.Intermediary web service could reduce the burden of network traffic because the response through the filtering process first. The use of filtering on this intermediary made more efficient because the information provided by the intermediary through mobile applications SIA with the information from the website SIA was the same.
