PERAN PAKAN TERHADAP GAMBARAN SEL DARAH PUTIH DAN PROTEIN SUSU PADA SAPI PERAH

Sapi perah Friesian Holstein merupakan bangsa sapi dengan produksi dan kualitas susu yang tinggi. Untuk memperoleh produksi susu dan kekebalan tubuh yang optimal, sapi perah harus diberi asupan nutrisi pakan yang baik dan berkualitas. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mempelajari hubungan antara kualitas pakan terhadap kualitas susu salah satunya protein dan gambaran sel darah putih sapi perah pada kelompok ternak Sedyo Mulyo Yogyakarta. Sampel berasal dari pakan hijauan, konsentrat, susu dan darah sapi perah dari masing-masing tiga kelompok ternak yang terdiri dari empat sapi perah. Pakan dan susu dianalisa kandungan protein. Darah dianalisa WBC, Neutrofil Segmen, Limfosit, Monosit dan Eosinofil. Sampel pakan dan susu sapi perah dianalisa di Pusat Studi Pangan Dan Gizi, Gedung PAU dan darah diperiksa di Rumah Sakit Hewan Kuningan Fakultas Kedokteran Hewan Universitas Gadjah Mada Yogyakarta. Hasil studi terkini menunjukkan bahwa pakan yang digunakan 3 peternak berkualitas protein rendah begitu pula kualitas susu terutama pada kadar protein susu dari sapi-sapi ketiga peternak rendah. Gambaran diferensial leukosit normal mencakup neutrofil segment, limfosit, eosinofil, monosit dari sapi-sapi ketiga peternak menunjukkan variasi dan masih dalam batas normal.

Holstein Friesian dairy cattle is one of cow's breeds with high milk production and quality. To obtain the optimal milk production and immune, dairy cow should be given good quality of feed nutritional intake. The purpose of this research is to study the relationship between the quality of feed on the quality of milk, such as protein and overview of white blood cells in dairy cattle at Sedyo Mulyo Farm Yogyakarta. Samples were derived from forage, concentrates, milk and blood of dairy cow collected from each three breeders consist of four dairy cow. Feed and milk were analyzed to see the content of protein. Blood were analyzed to see the WBC, Neutrophil Segment, Lymphocytes, Monocytes and Eosinophils. Samples of feed and milk from dairy cow were analyzed at the Center for the Study of Food And Nutrition, PAU Building and blood were analyzed at Kuningan Animal Hospital Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Gadjah Mada University Jogjakarta. The results of the present study indicated that feed which were used by three breeders is low-quality protein likewise milk quality especially the protein's content of cattles from three breeders is in low quality. Overview of normal differential leukocytes including neutrophils segment, lymphocytes, eosinophils and monocytes of cattles from three breeders indicated the variation and still in normal limits.
