PENGUJIAN KINERJA EKSTRAKTOR NIKOTIN CAIR PADA PENGOLAHAN PASCA PANEN TEMBAKAU

Dilakukan evaluasi kinerja ekstraktor tembakau dengan empat pengujian: a) Ekstraksi dengan perbedaan jenis bahan baku yaitu daun tembakau kering, daun tembakau hijau, dan sisa tanaman tembakau. b) Perbedaan berat bahan baku yaitu 1,5 kg, 8 kg, dan 10 kg dengan bahan berupa daun tembakau kering dengan suhu ekstraksi adalah 50 oC. c) Perbedaan suhu ekstraksi yaitu 50 oC, 60 oC, dan 70 oC dengan bahan extraksi berupa daun tembakau kering dengan berat 10 kg. Serta d) perbedaan waktu ekstraksi dengan adanya penambahan waktu ekstraksi selama satu jam dengan bahan baku berupa daun tembakau kering seberat 10 kg dengan suhu ekstraksi adalah 70 oC. Pada ekstraksi dengan perbedaan jenis bahan baku nikotin yang dapat terambil sebesar 17,75% untuk daun kering. Ekstraksi dengan adanya perbedaan berat bahan baku menunjukan bahwa daun tembakau dengan berat 1,5 kg menghasilkan nikotin terambil tertinggi sekitar 67,04%. Ekstraksi dengan perbedaan suhu ekstraksi menghasilkan suhu 70 oC dapat mengambil nikotin paling banyak dibanding suhu lainnya senilai 21,02%. Ekstraksi dengan perbedaan waktu ekstraksi menghasilkan penambahan waktu dapat meningkatkan nikotin terambil hingga 25,6%.

Performance evaluation of nicotine extractor tool with four extraction testing procedure has conducted. The four procedures were: a) Extraction with variation of the raw material which consist of green tobacco, dried tobbaco, and tobacco rod plant with each of material weight is 10 kg and extraction temperature is 50 oC. b) Extraction with weight variation of raw material that consist of 1,5 kg, 8 kg, and 10 kg of dried tobacco with extraction temperature was 50 oC. c) Extraction with variation of temperature that consist of 50 oC, 60 oC, and 70 oC of dried tobacco that weighted in 10 kg. and d) extraction of nicotine that using increment of 1 hour in time and without time increment with the extraction material is 10 kg of dried tobacco with extraction temperature is 70 oC. The result in raw material variation testing was producing that dried tobacco has the levels of nicotine with a value of 17.75%. The result in weight variation of raw material testing was showing that 1.5 kg of tobacco gives highest nicotine percentation with the value of 67.04%. The result of extraction with temperature variation showing that in 70 oC extraction will gives highest level of nicotine extracted with percentation 21.02%. The result of extraction with time increment variation showing that the extraction process with 1 hour increment gives higher nicotine percentation with the value is 25,6%.
