Penelitian ini membahas tentang perilaku memilih masyarakat Samin dalam Pemilu Presiden dan Wakil Presiden (Pilpres) tahun 2014 di Dukuh Karang Pace Desa Klopo Duwur Kecamatan Banjarejo Kabupaten Blora. Pemilihan suku Samin sebagai objek pada penelitian ini didasari oleh kecenderungan masyarakat Samin yang memiliki kebudayaan khusus. Masyarakat Samin masih menjalani ajaran perilaku sikep sampai saat ini, perilaku yang tertutup, seperti tidak membayar pajak, tidak membuat KTP, tidak bersekolah, menyukai pekerjaan sebagai petani, tidak berdagang karena menurut mereka perdagangan mengandung unsur penipuan dan menolak kapitalisme. Penelitian ini berusaha untuk mengetahui perilaku memilih masyarakat Samin. Bahwasannya perilaku memilih ini sangat dipengaruhi oleh latar belakang yang terdapat pada masyarakat Samin. Latar belakang ini dapat dilihat dari bagaimana keadaan ekonomi, psikologis dan sosiologisnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi, dengan menanyakan pengalaman utama apa yang akan dijelaskan informan tentang objek kajian penelitian. Hasil dari penelitian ini memperlihatkan bahwa dengan konteks masyarakat Samin sekarang yang sedang mengalami masa transisi, sudah mulai terbuka serta masuknya informasi melalui media massa menjadikan mbah Lasiyo selaku sesepuh masyarakat Samin di lokasi penelitian tidak lagi kuat sebagai preferensi politik. Perilaku memilih masyarakat Samin yang terlihat sangat dipengaruhi oleh faktor psikologis, cenderung tidak rasional dalam menentukan pilihan politik. Namun partisipasi politik yang tinggi tidak diikuti dengan partisipasi untuk mempengaruhi sistem politik.

This study discusses the voting behavior of Samin society in the public election of president and vice president in 2014 in Dukuh Karang Pace of Klopo Duwur Village, Banjarejo District, Blora Regency. The reason to use Samin tribe as the object of this research is based on the tendency of Samin society that has a special culture. Samin society still undergo the teaching of Sikep behavior until today, the extrovert behavior, such as they do not pay taxes, do not make ID cards, do not go to school, prefer to work as a farmer, do not trade because they think trading contains the elements of fraud and resist capitalism. This study sought to find out the voting behavior of Samin society. This voting behavior is greatly influenced by the background which evolve in Samin society. This background can be seen from their economic, psychology and ethnography situation. This research used the qualitative methods with phenomenologycal approach, by asking the prime experienced that was explained by the informant about the object of the research. The result of this research shows that the context of Samin people that are in the transition periode, have started to be open. Information from mass media makes Mr. Lasiyo as the elder of Samins people in the the research location not reliable anymore as a politic preference. Samin society voting behavior which are seen are influenced by the psicological factor which is irrational in deciding the political choices. But, the high politic participation is not followed with the participation to influence the political system.
