Laporan Tugas Akhir ini menjelaskan tentang Pengolahan Arsip Negatif Foto di Balai Pelestarian Cagar Budaya Provinsi Yogyakarta. Adapun tujuan laporan ini untuk mengetahui pengolahan arsip negatif foto di BPCB Yogyakarta serta sarana dan prasarana pengolahan arsip negatif foto. Selain itu untuk mengetahui kendala apa saja yang terjadi dalam pengolahan arsip negatif foto. pengolahan arsip negatif foto di BPCB Yogyakarta diawali dengan dilakukan penomoran pada setiap negatif foto dan menuliskan deskripsi negatif foto kedalam buku catatan negatif foto. setelah dilakukan pencatatan pada buku catatan negatif foto selanjutnya dibuatkan buku induk negatif foto dan sebagian selanjutnya diklasifikasi dengan dibuatkan buku daftar negatif foto berdasarkan lokasinya. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tiga tahapan. Pertama, observasi partisipasi yaitu dengan melakukan sebuah pengamatan dengan terlibat langsung di lapangan serta melaukan pencatatan proses kegiatan pengolahan arsip negatif foto. Metode kedua adalah wawancara dengan melakukan Tanya jawab dengan narasumber untuk mendapatkan informasi tentang pengolahan arsip negatif foto. metode pengumpulan data yang terakhir adalah studi pustaka, metode ini dilakukan sebagai kontrol hasil wawancara dan observasi apakah sesuai atau relevan dengan teori yang ada pada buku. Kesimpulan dari laporan ini adalah bahwa kegiatan pengolahan yang dilakukan di Balai Pelestarian Cagar Budaya (BPCB) Yogyakarta sudah dilakukan dengan baik, hanya saja ada kendala yang dihadapi yaitu lamanya proses temu kembali arsip dikarenakan sarana temu kembali yang kurang efektif. Kendala tersebut dapat diatasi dengan membuat daftar arsip negatif foto menggunakan Microsoft Excel

This final report explains about the Processing Of Negative Photo Archives in Balai Pelestarian Cagar Budaya (BPCB) Yogyakarta. The purpose of this study is determine the processing of negative photo archives at BPCB also the medium including facilities and basic facilities that used in processing the archives. Besides, to identify what obstacles that may occurred during the processing of negative photo. The processing of negative photo archives at BPCB begins with numbering on each negative photo and write the description in the negative photos’ journal. After the entry in negative photo journal is finished, the next step is creating database notebook of negative photo, furthermore the rest of the data will be classified in the notebook list based on its location. The method of collecting data is done in three stages. First stage is observation with participation, which is done by direct observation in the field along with recording the activities of negative photo processing. The second stage is interview with the human source to gain the information about the negative photo archives. The last stage is literary study, this stage is done as control method towards the interview and observation result whether it is appropriate or relevant to the existed theory in the book. The conclusion of this report is that all the activities of data processing at BPCB Yogyakarta has done well. However, there is an obstacle appeared, is the long timing due to the archive retrieval process which is caused by the less-effective retrieval. This obstacle can be solved by making a negative photo archives list using Microsoft Excel.
