DAUR HIDUP DAN KEBERHASILAN HIDUP Tenebrio sp. (Coleoptera: Tenebrionidae) YANG DIPELIHARA DENGAN PAKAN RAGI TAPE

Penelitian mengenai daur hidup dan keberhasilan hidup Tenebrio sp. (Coleoptera: Tenebrionidae) yang dipelihara dengan pakan ragi tape merupakan serangga hama simpanan gudang yang dipercaya memiliki manfaat bagi kesehatan manusia sehingga perlu diketahui siklus hidup serta keberhasilan hidupnya jika ingin melakukan budidaya serangga ini. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan September–Desember 2015 di Laboratorium Entomologi Fakultas Biologi UGM. Penelitian dilakukan dengan mengambil beberapa ulat atau pupa dari Tenebrio sp. yang ada dilaboratorium lalu di pelihara sampai menjadi imago, kemudian dikawinkan sebanyak 4 pasang jantan dan betina dan diamati jumlah telur yang dihasilkan sampai menjadi imago. Hasil data yang diperoleh disajikan dalam bentuk table hidup, selanjutnya data dianalisis dan dihitung nilai R untuk mengetahui kestabilan populasi. Dihitung keberhasilan hidup, persentase penetasan telur dan rasio seks populasinya. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa ragi tape sebagai pakan dapat memenuhi kebutuhan hidup Tenebrio sp. hal ini ditunjukan dengan persentase keberhasilan hidup mencapai 66,08 %, nilai R sebesar 16,25, persentase tetas telur sebesar 82,68 % dan rasio seks sebesar 0,8. Faktor yang dapat menghambat proses pertumbuhan dari Tenebrio sp. yaitu adanya gangguan dari organisme lain yaitu tungau dan semut.

Research on the life cycle and life success of Tenebrio sp. The data results are presented in life table, then analyzed and calculated value of R to determine the stability of the populatioan. Calculated percentage of survival rate, the percentage of egg hatching and the sex ratio of the population. The result showed that cassava yeast as weft could meet the needs of Tenebrio sp. this is indicated by the percentage of survival rate reached 66.08%, the value of R is 16.25 and percentage of hatching eggs by 82.68% and sex ratio is 0.8 . Factors that can hinder the process of growth of Tenebrio sp. namely the interference of other organisms, that was mites and ants.
