Optimasi Formula Tabir Surya Benzofenon Oil in Water (O/W)

Radiasi sinar matahari cukup kuat di Indonesia yang merupakan negara tropis. Adanya efek negatif akibat radiasi sinar matahari menyebabkan perlunya perlindungan untuk mencegah kerusakan kulit. Salah satunya adalah tabir surya (sunscreen) dalam sediaan kosmetik. Salah satu senyawa yang memiliki aktivitas sebagai tabir surya adalah benzofenon dalam lotion O/W. Karakteristik lotion agar sesuai untuk penggunaan tabir surya dipengaruhi komponen-komponen penyusun formulanya. Oleh karena itu dilakukan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh komponen setil alkohol (SA), asam stearat (AS), dan trietanolamina (TEA), masing-masing dalam rentang 2-5%, terhadap daya sebar, daya lekat, dan viskositas lotion O/W benzofenon 3%. Penentuan formula optimum sediaan benzofenon dilakukan dengan metode Simplex Lattice Design serta menggunakan software Design Expert® versi 7.0 pada program mixture design secara numerik dan grafis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keadaan optimum sediaan dicapai pada komposisi 2,4% SA, 3,9% AS, dan 2,7% TEA.

Characteristics lotion to conform to the use of sunscreens is affected constituent components formula. Therefore, to investigate the effect of cetyl alcohol components (SA), stearic acid (AS), and triethanolamine (TEA), each in the range of 2-5%, the dispersive power, adhesion, and lotion viscosity O / W benzophenone 3%. Determining the optimum formula benzophenone preparations done by the method and using the Simplex Lattice Design Design Expert® software version 7.0 on program design mixture numerically and graphically. The results showed that the optimum state of preparations reached on the composition of SA 2.4%, US 3.9%, and 2.7% TEA.
