Indonesia merupakan negara penghasil beras terbesar ketiga di dunia, membuat Indonesia diberi julukan sebagai negara agraris. Hal ini dikarenakan mayoritas penduduk Indonesia bermatapencaharian sebagai petani. Lahan persawahan yang dimiliki Indoneisa juga sangat luas, serta Indonesia memiliki iklim yang cocok untuk bercocok tanam. Mayoritas penduduk Indonesia juga menjadikan nasi yang merupakan olahan dari tanaman padi sebagai makanan pokok sehari-hari. Badan Pusat Statistik melakukan survey untuk mengetahui jumlah petani di Indonesia. Hasil dari survey tersebut menyebutkan bahwa jumlah petani menurun sebanyak 5 juta jiwa dalam kurun 10 tahun terakhir. Jika hal ini dibiarkan terus terjadi, maka diperkirakan pada tahun 2053 akan terjadi krisis jumlah petani di Indonesia. Film dokumenter ini akan memberikan informasi mengenai menurunnya jumlah petani dan prediksi akan terancam punahnya profesi petani. Film ini dikemas dalam bentuk nonverbal. Film ini diharapkan mampu mengingatkan penonton tentang pentingnya petani sebagai produsen.

Indonesia is the third country that supplies and exports hulled rice to the world, thus entitled Indonesia as an agrarian country. This happens because majority of Indonesian people is occupation is farmer. Indonesia have a very large amount of wet rice field and also a good climate that suits for farming activity. Besides of that, majority of Indonesian people consume rice as their main meal. Badan Pusat Statistik have done some survey to know the number of farmer in Indonesia. The result of the survey mentioned that the number of farmer has decreased five million people in last decade. And if the goverment let this happened, we can assume that the number of farmer in Indonesia will keep decreasing until 2053. This documentary will give an informations about the decreased number of farmer and predict about the threat of extinction of farmer profession. This movie is told without verbal. The writer expects this movie could remind people about the importance of farmer profession as the producer of hulled rice.
