APLIKASI LEAN STRATEGY DENGAN PENDEKATAN VALUE STREAM MAPPING SEBAGAI KONTRIBUSI PELINDO III DALAM MEREDUKSI DWELL TIME (Studi Kasus : PT. Terminal Petikemas Surabaya)

Agar Dwell Time dapat direduksi maka proses yang mengandung waste dapat ditekan hingga level terendah. Salah satu metode untuk menekan waste adalah dengan konsep Lean. Penerapan Lean bertujuan untuk mengurangi waktu siklus dan arus proses, sehingga dapat meningkatkan tingkat pelayanan, produktivitas yang lebih baik, pemanfaatan aset yang optimal, peningkatan arus kas, mengurangi persediaan yang berlebih, dan waktu changeover yang lebih pendek. Penerapan Lean tersebut kemudian dikombinasikan dengan pendekatan Value Stream Mapping yang berfungsi sebagai alat untuk memvisualisasikan aliran poses bisnis. Dengan diimplementasikanya Lean Strategy maka didapatkan penghematan Lead time yang semula 12410 detik menjadi 5221 detik dengan artian bahwa dengan diterapkanya otomisasi pada proses handpunch dan administrasi CEIR maka perusahaan dapat menghemat waktu sebesar 7189 detik. Selain itu terjadi pula penurunan terhadap aktivitas VA sebesar 928 detik dan NNVA sebesar 6261 detik. Ini menunjukan bahwa terjadi penurunan dan peningkatan yang signifikan baik pada aktivitas VA maupun aktivitas NNVA.

Dwell Time can be reduced by suppressing the process containing waste to the lowest level. One method to suppress the waste is the Lean concept. Application of Lean aims to reduce cycle time and process flows, improve service levels and better productivity, optimal asset utilization, increase cash flow, reduce excess inventory and changeover time. The application is then combined with the Value Stream Mapping approach that serves as a tool to visualize the flow of business processes. Lean implementation strategies generate lead time savings, which was originally 12410 becomes 5221 seconds. The company reserve for 7189 seconds by implicating the automation in the HandPunch and CEIR administration process. In addition there is also a decrease in the activity of VA for 928 seconds and NNVA for 6261 seconds. This shows that there is a decrease and a significant increase both in VA and NNVA activities
