ABSTRAKSI Ketidakmampuan desa untuk menyediakan lapangan kerja di luar sektor pertanian mengakibatkan semakin berkurangnya generasi muda usia produktif di desa. Kondisi ini menyebabkan arus migrasi menjadi semakin deras. Mereka berbondong-bondong migrasi ke kota besar yang merupakan pusat industri dengan lapangan pekerjaan yang lebih luas. Salah satu kota yang menjadi tujuan adalah kota Jakata yang dianggap dapat memberikan segala kemudahan dan kesejahteraan individu dan keluarganya. Dengan menggunakan Teori Dorong dan Tarik Everett S. Lee, konsep mobilitas Mantra dan teori demonstratif effect, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji migrasi pemuda, dukungan orangtua, modal sosial, perubahan sosial dan struktur sosial masyarakat Desa Hargomulyo. Selain itu, peran jejaring sosial berupa hubungan kekerabatan serta dianggap penting dalam proses migrasi pemuda ke Kota Jakarta. Jaringan yang dimaksud diposisikan sebagai �payung� bagi para migran selama menghadapi kerasnya problematika perkotaan dengan segala resiko dan hambatan yang ada. Subject dari penelitian ini adalah masyarakat desa hargomulyo kecamatan gedangsari kabupaten gununkidul. sedangkan obyek dari penelitian ini adalah migrasi pemuda dan dukungan orangtua ke kota jakarta.

ABSTRACT Village which is unable to provide employment outside the agricultural sector resulted in the decreasing number of pruductive young people. This condition causes the migration flows becoming increasingly heavy. They flocked migration to the big city which is the industrial center with broader employment. One of the cities that are intended is Jakata that might be considered to provide all the ease and well-being of their individuals and families. By using the Push and Pull Theory by Everett S. Lee, the concept of mobility by Mantra and demonstrative effect theory, this study aims to assess the migration of youth, parental support, social capital, social change and social structure in Hargomulyo village. In addition, the role of social networks in the form of distant family connection is considered as important toward the process of youth migration to the city of Jakarta. This kind of network is positioned as an "umbrella" for migrants during facing the risks and obstacles in urban areas. The subject of this research is a rural community districts of Hargomulyo, Gedangsari, Gununkidul. Whereas the object of this research is the migration of youth and parental support to the city of Jakarta.
