IMPLEMENTASI PROGRAM KIE (KOMUNIKASI, INFORMASI, DAN EDUKASI) KABUPATEN KULON PROGO

BKKBN sebagai organisasi yang mengurusi terkait pengendalian penduduk di Indonesia mempunyai berbagai program konstrsepsi untuk dapat mengontrol tingkat kelahiran. Vasektomi atau dikenal dengan istilah MOP (Metode Operasi Pria) adalah satu dari program kontrasepsi tersebut. Kulon Progo mempunyai tingkat pertumbuhan penduduk rendah yang mana disebabkan oleh kontribusi dari peningkatan jumlah peserta baru KB MOP yang meningkat hampir tiga kali lipat setiap tahunnya, dimulai dari tahun 2011 sampai tahun 2013. Hal tersebut diakibatkan oleh program KIE. Dimana program KIE bertujuan untuk menyampaikan informasi tentang KB dan yang terkait kepada masyarakat sebagai target, untuk mendapatkan akseptor baru. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui implementasi KIE yang dilakukan oleh Kabupaten Kulon Progo, dan faktor-faktornya yang mempengaruhi. Pengambilan data dilakukan melalui wawancara dan data sekunder. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa implementasi dari program KIE yang dilakukan oleh Kulon Progo dapat dikatakan cukup baik, walaupun masih ada hambatan.

Vasectomy, known as MOP (Metode Operasi Pria), is one of them. Kulon Progo had low birth rate below the ideal that was caused by the contribution of the number of the new vasectomy acceptors increased around three times every years, from 2011 to 2013. Those increased-number of the new vasectomy acceptors was caused by KIE program. KIE program was program to deliver the information about KB and its environment to the target, to get the new acceptors. Therefore, this study was conducted to knowing the implementation of KIE Program that was did by Kulon Progo, and its independent factors. The data were collected through interviews method with support of secondary data. The results of this study showing that the implementation of program KIE that was did by Kulon Progo was good enough. Despite there was obstacle.
