HUBUNGAN PERSEPSI SISWA TERHADAP CITRA SEKOLAH DENGAN MINAT BELAJAR DI SMK X YOGYAKARTA

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara persepsi siswa terhadap citra sekolah dengan minat belajar di SMK X Yogyakarta. Variabel dependen dalam penelitian ini adalah minat belajar. Minat belajar diukur dengan skala minat belajar yang disusun berdasarkan teori minat belajar yang dikemukakan oleh Slameto (2010). Variabel independen dalam penelitian ini adalah persepsi siswa terhadap citra sekolah. Persepsi siswa terhadap citra sekolah diukur dengan skala persepsi siswa terhadap citra sekolah yang disusun berdasarkan teori persepsi yang dikemukakan oleh Walgito (2010) dan dikolaborasikan dengan teori citra yang dikemukakan oleh Nova (2011). Hipotesis dalam penelitian ini adalah terdapat hubungan positif antara persepsi siswa terhadap citra sekolah dengan minat belajar. Subjek dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 224 dan seluruhnya merupakan siswa kelas XI SMK X Yogyakarta. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik korelasi Product Moment dari Pearson. Hasil analisis menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif yang signifikan antara persepsi siswa terhadap citra sekolah dengan minat belajar (r = 0,599 dengan p < 0,01). Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa hipotesis dalam penelitian ini diterima.

The study was to measure the relationship between the students` perception toward the school image and the learning interest in the X Vocational High School Yogyakarta. The dependent variable in the study was the learning interest. The learning interest was measured by means of the scale of learning interest that had been arranged based on the theory of learning interest by Slameto (2010). Then, the independent variable in the study was the students` perception toward the school image. The students perception toward the school image was measured by means of the scale of the students` perception toward the school image based on the theory of perception by Walgito (2010) in collaboration with the theory of image by Nova (2011). The hypothesis in the study has been that there is a positive relationship between the students` perception toward the school image and the learning interest. The number of the subjects in the study was 224 people and all of the subjects were the students of XI Grade from the X Vocational High School Yogyakarta. The data would be analyzed by employing the Product Moment correlation technique from Pearson. The results of the research showed that there has been a positive and significant relationship between the students` perception toward the school image and the learning interest (r = 0.599 with p < 0.01). The result showed that the hypothesis in the study has been accepted.
