KONTRIBUSI INFRASTRUKTUR TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN EKONOMI INDONESIA

Infrastruktur merupakan faktor yang penting untuk memastikan efektivitas fungsi ekonomi karena berfungsi menentukan lokasi kegiatan ekonomi dan jenis kegiatan atau sektor yang dapat berkembang dalam suatu negara. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis kontribusi infrastruktur terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi di Indonesia. Metode yang digunakan adalah regresi data panel. Data penelitian terdiri dari 33 provinsi dengan periode 2006 sampai dengan 2013. Variabel independen yang digunakan adalah infrastruktur jalan, air bersih, listrik, telekomunikasi, pendidikan, dan kesehatan sedangkan variabel dependennya adalah pertumbuhan PDRB. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan hanya infrastruktur telekomunikasi yang berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi Indonesia sedangkan infrastruktur jalan, air bersih, listrik, pendidikan, dan kesehatan tidak berpengaruh signifikan.

Infrastructure is an important factor to ensure the effective functioning of the economy because it serves to determine the location of economic activity and the kinds of activities or sectors that can develop in a country. This study aims to analyze the contribution of infrastructure to economic growth in Indonesia. The method used in this study is panel data regression. The research data consisted of 33 provinces in the period 2006 to 2013. Independent variables used are roads, water supply, electricity, telecommunications, education, and health while the dependent variable is the growth of Gross Domestic Regional Product (GDRP). The results of this study showed only telecommunications infrastructure were significant positive effect on economic growth in Indonesia, while the roads, water supply, electricity, education, and health infrastructure had no significant effect.
