FACTORS INFLUENCING KNOWLEDGE-SHARING IN INFORMATION SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS IN THE MINISTRY OF FINANCE OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA: EXPLAIN THE ROLE OF DEPENDENCE AND TRUST

Penelitian ini meneliti bagaimana peran perilaku ketergantungan (dependence) dan kepercayaan (trust) dalam aktivitas berbagi pengetahuan atau informasi (knowledge-sharing) pada proyek pengembangan sistem informasi di Kementerian Keuangan Republik Indonesia. Perilaku bergantung dan percaya ini dipengaruhi oleh tingkat kompleksitas dari proyek, keahlian tim proyek, dan komunikasi antar anggota tim proyek. Construct tersebut berturut-turut merepresentasikan faktor lingkungan, faktor mitra kerja, dan faktor interaksi. Dalam penelitian ini dilakukan survei terhadap 33 pemimpin dari 33 proyek sistem informasi di lingkungan Kementerian Keuangan Republik Indonesia semenjak tahun 2011 sampai dengan tahun 2014. Selanjutnya, penelitian ini menggunakan metode Partial Least Square (PLS) untuk menganalisis data. Penelitian ini membuktikan terdapat keyakinan bahwa ketergantungan dan kepercayaan diantara anggota tim proyek sistem informasi di Kementerian Keuangan secara signifikan mempengaruhi mereka dalam aktifitas berbagi informasi atau pengetahuan dimana aktivitas ini akan mengakibatkan meningkatnya capaian proyek.

This study investigates how the role of dependence and trust in affecting the knowledge-sharing activity in the IS (Information System) development projects in the Ministry of Finance (MoF) of the Republic of Indonesia. The precedents that influencing depend and trusty behaviours are consists of the complexity of the projects, the team’s expertise and the communication. Those constructs represent the environmental, partner and interaction factors consecutively. This research uses the survey to the 33 project leaders of IS projects in MoF during year 2011-2014. Further, the study uses the Partial Least Square (PLS) to analyse the data. The findings provide the evidences that dependence and trust among the MoF team members are significantly affected them in sharing the knowledge in the IS projects. This useful activity will lead to the project’s success.
