PREVALENSI DAN INTENSITAS EKTOPARASIT PADA BENIH LELE DUMBO (Clarias sp.) DI KABUPATEN SLEMAN

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui intensitas infeksi, prevalensi dan sebaran beberapa ektoparasit yang menyerang benih lele dumbo (Clarias sp.) di Kabupaten Sleman. Sampling benih lele dumbo dilakukan di Kecamatan Godean, Berbah, Kalasan dan Ngemplak sebanyak 4 kali yaitu pada bulan September hingga Desember. Sampel benih lele dumbo diambil secara random sebanyak 36 ekor setiap populasi. Pengamatan dan identifikasi ektoparasit menggunakan preparat segar dengan mikroskop webcam. Jenis ektoparasit yang ditemukan menginfeksi benih lele dumbo di Kecamatan Godean, Berbah, Kalasan dan Ngemplak adalah Dactylogyrus sp., Gyrodactylus sp., dan Trichodina sp. Kisaran prevalensi dan intensitas Dactylogyrus sp., Gyrodactylus sp., dan Trichodina sp. pada benih lele dumbo yang diamati berturut-turut sebesar 8,33-100 % (1,22-5,16 individu/ekor), 8,33-94,44 % (0-5,28 individu/ekor), 0-25 % (0-2,75 individu/ekor). Sebaran ektoparasit jenis Dactylogyrus sp., Gyrodactylus sp., dan Trichodina sp. di Kabupaten Sleman ditemukan pada Kecamatan Godean, Berbah, Kalasan dan Ngemplak.

The aims of study were to determine the intensity of infection, the prevalence and the distribution of some ectoparasites which infect the fingerlings of catfish (Clarias sp.) in the District of Sleman. Catfish samplings were done 4 times, on September to December in Subdistrict of Godean, Berbah, Kalasan, and Ngemplak. The sample of catfish were taken randomly as 36 fingerlings from each population. Observation and identification of ectoparasites were conducted by fresh preparation with a microscope webcam. The ectoparasites infected the fingerlings of catfish in Subdistrict of Godean, Berbah, Kalasan, and Ngemplak were Dactylogyrus sp., Gyrodactylus sp., and Trichodina sp. The range of prevalence and intensity of Dactylogyrus sp., Gyrodactylus sp., and Trichodina sp. were 8,33-100 % (1,22-5,16 individu/fish), 8,33-94,44 % (0-5,28 individu/fish), 0-25 % (0-2,75 individu/fish). Distribution of Dactylogyrus sp., Gyrodactylus sp., and Trichodina sp. in District of Sleman were found in Subdistrict of Godean, Berbah, Kalasan, and Ngemplak.
