Skripsi ini menganalisa transformasi yang dialami oleh Pinocchio sebagai tokoh utama dalam novel The Adventures of Pinocchio .Transformasi yang dialami oleh Pinocchio terjadi selama petualangannya berlangsung baik secara psikologi maupun bentuk fisik. Adapun tujuan dari skripsi ini adalah untuk mengetahui transformasi psikologi yang dialami oleh Pinocchio. Selain itu, tujuan berikutnya yaitu untuk mengetahui beberapa transformasi fisik yang dialami Pinocchio sebagai bentuk dari konsekuensi tingkah lakunya. Dalam menganalisis skripsi ini, penulis menerapkan teori psikologi Freudian. Melalui transformasi ini, terdapat nilai moral yang ingin disampaikan oleh Carlo Collodi sebagai penulis dari novel ini. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian perpustakaan dan penelitian melalui internet. Sehingga data yang digunakan dapat dikategorikan sebagai data primer dan sekunder. Sumber primer dari penelitian ini diambil dari karya sastra The Adventures of Pinocchio yang ditulis oleh Carlo Collodi. Sedangkan sumber-sumber sekunder diambil dari sumber cetak lainnya dan internet. Transformasi yang dialami oleh Pinocchio baik secara psikologi maupun fisik memberikan pelajaran kepada Pinocchio untuk menjadi orang yang lebih baik.

This undergraduate thesis analyzes the transformations experienced by Pinocchio as the main character in The Adventures of Pinocchio novel. The transformations happen to Pinocchio during his adventures both psychologically and physically. The purpose of this thesis is to investigate psychological transformations that happen to Pinocchio. This paper is also aimed to find out physical transformations happen to Pinocchio as the consequences of his behavior. In analyzing this thesis, the researcher applies Freud’s Psychological theory. Through this transformation, there is moral value that Carlo Collodi as the author of this novel wants to convey. The methods of research used in this graduating paper are library and internet research, with primary and secondary sources. The primary source of this research is taken from the literary work itself, The Adventures of Pinocchio by Carlo Collodi. The secondary sources are taken from the printed and web sources. The transformations happen to Pinocchio both psychologically and physically give lessons to Pinocchio to be a better person.
