TRANSNORMATIVITAS KELUARGA GAY DAN LESBIAN DALAM SASTRA ANAK

Tesis ini membahas tentang transnormativitas keluarga gay dan lesbian dalam sastra anak. Bentuk-bentuk transnormativitas keluarga gay dan lesbian akan diungkap dalam upaya untuk memahami keberadaan bentuk keluarga tersebut sebagai representasi kenyataan yang ada di dalam masyarakat. Selain itu, dialog yang terjadi antara transnormativitas keluarga gay dan lesbian dengan keluarga ideal akan diungkap untuk melihat hubungan antara eksistensi keluarga transnormatif dengan keinginan masyarakat akan yang ideal. Adapun karya sastra anak yang dipilih adalah empat buku cerita bergambar, yakni Heather Has Two Mommies (1988) karya Leslea Newman, Daddys Roomate (1989) karya Michael Wilhoute, And Tango Makes Three (2005) karya Peter Parnell dan Justin Richardson, dan In Our Mothers House (2009) karya Patricia Palocco. Teori yang digunakan adalah teori Elizabeth Thiel mengenai keluarga transnormatif sebagai bentuk keluarga yang berada di luar norma, yang hadir sebagai antitesis atas paradigma natural dan menentang ide tentang keberadaan keluarga ideal. Selain itu digunakan juga perspektif studi keluarga untuk menentukan asumsi normativitas keluarga inti yang dijadikan sebagai yang ideal. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif naratif. Sementara teknik analisis datanya menggunakan teknik analisis data kualitatif yang memiliki komponen analisis berupa penyeleksian data, pengklasifikasian penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Dari penelitian yang dilakukan diperoleh hasil sebagai berikut. Bentuk transnormativitas keluarga gay dan lesbian dalam sastra anak muncul dalam seksualitas non-normatif, ketidakkompletan keluarga transnormatif, dan adopsi. Bentuk transnormativitas keluarga gay dan lesbian tersebut menunjukkan adanya pergeseran paradigma keluarga dari natural menjadi konstruksional. Sementara Dialog antara keluarga gay dan lesbian dengan keluarga ideal berupa modifikasi komposisi keluarga, substitusi tugas orang tua, serta representasi keluarga gay dan lesbian sebagai keluarga bahagia. Dialog tersebut dilakukan dalam rangka menjembatani antara keinginan untuk menyerupai dan mendekati yang ideal dengan hal-hal yang tidak bisa ia tiru dari keluarga normatif sebab adanya keterbatasan dan kenyataan bahwa keluarga tersebut memang berbeda. Dialog antara transnormativitas keluarga gay dan lesbian dengan keluarga ideal juga menunjukkan bahwa meski sastra anak berusaha menampilkan realitas tentang keluarga transnormatif, tapi tetap ada keterpengaruhan akan yang ideal.

This research discussed about trasnormativity of gay and lesbian family in childrens literature. The forms of transnormativity of gay and lesbian family will be explored in due to understanding the existence of those family as a reality representation in the society. Beside, the dialogues that apppeared between transnormativity family which is gay and lesbian family and the ideal family will be explored to understanding the relationship between their existence and socials desire about ideal family concept. There are four picture books that used in this research, Heather Has Two Mommies (1988) by Leslea Newman, Daddys Roomate (1989) by Michael Wilhoute, And Tango Makes Three (2005) by Peter Parnell dan Justin Richardson, and In Our Mothers House (2009) by Patricia Palocco. The purpose of this research is to explore the forms of transnormativity, gay and lesbian family and the dialogues with the ideal family. The theory that used is Elizabeth Thiels theory about transnormativity as a form of deviant family, which is exist as an antithesis of natural paradigm and resist the idea of ideal family. More, the family studies perspective used to determine the assumtion of normativity of nuclear family which seen as an ideal family. The method that used is descriptive narrative and the technic of analysis is qualitative method, consists of data selection, data classification, data serving and then summary. The finding of this research is the forms of transnormativity family, gay and lesbian family in childrens literature appeared in non-normative sexuality, uncompleteness of transnormative family, and adoption. Those forms of transnormativity show the shifting of family paradigm from natural to constructional. While the dialogues between gay and lesbian family and the ideal family are modification family composition, parent tasking substitusion, gay and lesbian family as a happy family. The dialogues used to cover between the desire to be look like the ideal and the things that not able to do because there are differences and limitations. The dialogues between transnormative family with the ideal family show that even children literature try hard to bring the reality of transnormative family but there is still influence about the ideal.
