Analysis of forecasting personal computer demand as a strategic decision making for future actual demand :: Case study at Kaledia computer Yogyakarta

The objective of this research is to study relationship between forecasting demand sales and planning or decision making for the h e de mand that is supported by their marketing strategy. Furthermore, we also can learn the forecasting project statistically significant affect to the decision making of sales demand in the future. Based on the research has done, the data which has collected will analyzed by quantitative and qualitative analysis, that is give more explanation and analyzing the data which has collected. Qualitative analysis is making the analysis for the factors that is influence the personal computer demand changes, its internal and external fkctors. Whereas, the quantitative analysis will done by a forecasting method from DSS POM for Windows that is Time-Series Analysis. And then, the data will evaluate for knew how far the goals that is made has reached from forecasting the demand sales. The resuIts of this research are the number of demand for the Personal Computer (PC) at Kaledia for next 12 periods (in month) is showing the sales demand increases. And the factors that affects of the PC demand sales at Kaledia company are fluctuations of Rupiah to US Dollar, Budget of individual or department, the fast growth of PC technology, and the comwtors
