Penulis memilih Tema Perlindungan Hukum Terhadap Korban Kekerasan Dalam Rumah Tangga karena akhir - akhir ini banyak kasus terkait kekerasan dalam rumah tangga Tujuan yang bersifat subjektif berkaitan dengan arti penting pelaksanaan Praktik Kerja Lapangan bagi penulis yaitu sebagai upaya untuk memenuhi syarat kelulusan dari Program Diploma 3 Hukum Sekolah Vokasi Universitas Gadjah Mada. Manfaat yang penulis peroleh dari tempat penulis melakukan Praktik Kerja Lapangan di Pengadilan Negeri Sleman, penulis dapat mengetahui bagaimana proses berjalannya suatu perkara mulai dari pelimpahan sampai penjatuhan putusan. Proses pelimpahan berkas persidangan di Pengadilan Negeri antara lain melalui tahapan sebagai berikut : a. Ketua Pengadilan menunjuk Hakim yang akan menyidangkan perkara yang bersangkutan, b. Proses Persidangan c. Pemeriksaan d. Kesimpulan e. Berita Acara f. Putusan.
