APLIKASI PLAT DATAR BETON MENGGUNAKAN SERAT POLYPROPYLENE TERHADAP KUAT LENTUR BETON

2016 | Tugas Akhir | D3 TEKNIK SIPILBeton yang digunakan sebagai struktur dalam konstruksi teknik sipil dapat dimanfaatkan untuk banyak hal yaitu struktur beton dapat digunakan untuk bangunan fondasi, kolom, balok, dan pelat. Serat polypropylene dipilih karena dapat menambah sifat bahan seperti keliatan (ductility), kuat lentur (tensile and flextural strength), kelelahan (fatigue life), ketahanan terhadap keausan (abration), kekuatan terhadap pengaruh susut (shrinkage), dan ketahanan terhadap beban kejut (impact ressistance). Konsentrasi serat 1%, 2 %, dan 3% digunakan sebagai variabel pembanding dengan beton konsentrasi 0% serat polypropylene. Kekuatan terhadap uji lentur digunakan sebagai indikator kekuatan dari serat beton ini. Tingkat kelecekan beton diuji dengan uji slump, uji kuat tekan, dan kuat lentur. Benda uji berupa plat datar beton dengan dimensi 800 mm x 600 mm x 40 mm. Pengujian beton dilakukan setelah beton berumur 28 hari. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan tidak ada pengaruh yang signifikan penambahan serat polypropylene 1%, 2% maupun 3% pada beton terhadap kuat lentur maksimum beton. Kuat lentur maksimum pada campuran beton serat polypropylene 0% adalah sebesar 4.17 MPa dengan nilai beban maksimum pada plat adalah 5 kN sedangkan nilai kuat lentur terkecil pada campuran beton serat polypropylene 2% adalah sebesar 2.67 MPa dengan nilai beban maksimum pada plat tersebut sebesar 3.2 kN.
Concrete, known for many building material is commonly used for building foundation construction, column, block and plate. It is used in highways, streets, parking lots, parking garages,bridges, high-rise buildings, dams, homes, floors, sidewalks,driveways, and numerous other applications. Concrete versatility, durability, and economy have versatility, durability, and economy have made it the world's most used construction material. Hence, the material selection is important in order to choose the best material in concrete. Fiber reinforced concrete is used because this material can increase quality of material properties such as ductility, tensile and flextural strength, fatigue, abration strength, shrinkage strength, and impact ressistance. This study was focused on concrete flexural strength as indicator of material strength. Concrete with 1%, 2 %, and 3% fiber concentration was chosen in this study in order to explore the effect of fiber reinforced in concrete with its flexural strength. Concrete with 0% concentration of fiber was selected as comparative variable. Workability of concrete was tested using slump test, compressive strength test and flexural strength test. Experiment object in this study was flat plate concrete with 800 mm x 600 mm x 40 mm in dimension. Experiment was conducted after concrete age of 28 days. There was no significant effect of adding 1%, 2%, and 3% concentration of polypropylene fiber with maximum flexural strength. Maximum concrete flexural strength calculated in this study was 4.17 MPa in 0% concentration of polypropylene fiber with maximum force 5 kN and minimum concrete flexural strength calculated in this study was 2.67 MPa in 2% concentration of polypropylene fiber with maximum force 3.2 kN.
