Repertoire Novel Yin Galema karya Ian Sancin Kajian Respon Estetik Wolfgang Iser

Perselisihan antara Kerajaan Badau dan Kerajaan Balok dalam novel Yin Galema digambarkan secara berbeda oleh Ian Sancin, penulisnya. Cerita rakyat yang sudah dikenal oleh masyarakat Pulau Belitung ini mendapat penafsiran baru oleh pengarang yang sekaligus seorang pembaca.Yin Galema bisa diasumsikan sebagai akumulasi dari pembacaan Ian Sancin terhadap permasalahan sosio-budaya, sejarah, danteks-teks cerita rakyat Belitung.Penelitian ini difokuskan pada pengungkapan; bagaimana fakta sosial, budaya, dan sejarah, serta karya sebelumnya berfungsi dalam novel Yin Galema. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana perwujudan norma sosial, budaya, sejarah, dan fungsi sastra lama dalam novel Yin Galema. Hal ini dilakukan untuk mengungkap latar depan (foreground) yang ingin dicapai oleh Ian Sancin melalui novel Yin Galema. Sebagai pisau analisis, peneliti menggunakan teori Respon Estetik Wolfgang Iser yang terpapar dalam bukuThe Act of Reading: A Theory of Aesthetic Response(1987). Analisis respon estetik wolfgang Iser yang memfokuskan pada hubungan dialektik antara teks, pembaca, dan interaksi antara teks dan pembaca sebagai bentuk komunikasi, dilakukan untuk mencapai tujuan penelitian. Analisis dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode komunikasi sastra (metode pembacaan) yang direduksi dari teori komunikasi sastra model Iser. Metode pembacaan digunakan untuk membantu pembaca dalam memaknai karya sastra. Ada dua proses pembacaan dalam penelitian, pertama pembacaan Ian Sancin terhadap teks-teks sastra lama, kedua proses pembacaan peneliti terhadap novel Yin Galema. Pelacakan norma sosial, budaya, sejarah sebagai materi repertoiredan teks-teks sastra lama dimaksudkan sebagai sarana untuk mengungkap fungsi pragmatis teks Yin Galema. Hasil penelitian yang didapat adalah, Sancin menggunakan norma sosial-budaya-sejarah Pulau Belitung sebagai repertoire. Norma sosial berupa keberadaan urang darat, urang laut, urang juru, dukun kampong, dan karakteristik kehidupan masyarakat Pulau Belitung. Norma budaya berupa syair, pantun, mantra, julukan dan peribahasa, beberapa kesenian, serta adat perkawinan, kelahiran, dan kematian. Norma sejarah berupa sejarah Kerajaan Badau, Kerajaan Balok, serta hubungannya dengan beberapa kerajaan, daerah, serta bangsa lain, menjadi latar belakang masuk dan menyebarnya agama Islam di Pulau Belitung menjadi repertoire dalam nove lYin Galema. Kesemua norma yang membangun makna novel tidak lepas dari peranan sastra lisan atau beberapa cerita rakyat yang dimanfaatkan Sancin sebagai kekuatan bagi lahirnya novel Yin Galema. Lewat semua unsur tersebut, Sancin melakukan pengkong kritan makna ekstratekstual menjadi makna tekstual melalui penambahan bumbu olahan estetis. Dengan memanfaatkan strategi, Sancin menyelipkan pandangan, harapan, dan kritikannya atas kenyataan melalui latar belakang (background) untuk menyampaikan latardepan (foreground) yang ingin ditujunya. Foreground yang tampak dalam novel Yin Galema merupakan refleksi sekaligus kontemplasi dari peristiwa yang terjadi dalam masyarakat Pulau Belitung, setidaknya pasca Pulau Belitung menjadi provinsi Bangka-Belitung dan mengalami pemekaran menjadi dua kabupaten kota pada tahun 2003. Lahirnya dualisme pemerintahan hendaknya jangan dijadikan alasan untuk melahirkan konflik identitas karena adanya perbedaan. Ian Sancin merasa perlu mengingatkan pentingnya menyadari kemultikulturandalam kehidupan bermasyarakat. Beragamanya etnis dan agama yang ada hendaknya tidak menjadi alasan bagi masyarakat untuk tidak menjaga persatuan dan kesatuan bangsa. Perbedaan etnis dan agama yang ada dalam masyarakat perlu disadari sebagai Bhineka Tunggal Ika, berbeda-beda tetapi tetap satu jua.

The discord between the kingdoms of Badau and Balok is described differently by Ian Sancinin his novel Yin Galema. The original folk tale, well known to the people of Belitung Island, is reinterpreted by an author who serves concurrently as a reader. Yin Galema may be assumed to be the accumulation of Ian Sancin's readings of socio-cultural and historical issues, as well as the text of folk tales in Belitung. This research project is intent on uncovering how social, cultural, and historical facts, as well as earlier literary works, function within the text of Yin Galema.The goal of this research project is to describe how social, cultural, and historical norms are expressed, and how the functions of classic literature are conveyed, through the novel Yin Galema. This is done in order to identify the foreground which the author, Ian Sancin, attempts to express through Yin Galema.The analytical tool used is Wolfgang Iser theory of aesthetic response, as presented in his bookThe Act of Reading: A Theory of Aesthetic Response (1987). Analysis using Wolfgang Iser theory of aesthetic response, which emphasis the dialectic relationship between the text and reader, and considers the interactions between the text and the reader to be a form of communication, has been completed to reach this research goal. Analysis has been completed using the literary communication (reading) method, derived from Isers model of communications theory. The reading method is used to help a reader give meaning to a work of literature. Two reading processes are presented in this research paper: Ian Sancins reading of old literary texts, and the researcher reading of the novel Yin Galema. The tracking of social, cultural, and historical norms which serve as the novel repertoire, as well as the classic literary texts, has been done in order to identify the pragmatic function of the text Yin Galema. The results of this research indicate that Sancin uses the social, cultural, and historical norms of Belitung Island as his repertoire. The social norms include the existence of urangdarat, uranglaut, urangjuru, dukun kampong, and the characteristic lifestyle of the people of Belitung.Cultural norms include the syair, pantun, mantra, nicknames, and proverbs, as well as some art forms, and adatas related to marriage, birth, and death. Historical norms include the history of Badau and Balok Kingdoms; their relations with other kingdoms, areas, and peoples; and the spread of Islam to the island of Belitung. All of these are the repertoirefound in the novel Yin Galema.All of the norms used to give meaning to the novel are inseparable from the oral literature and folklore used by Sancin as a driving force behind the novelYinGalema. Through all of these elements, Sancin concretizes extratextual meaning as textual meaning while adding his own aesthetic elements. Using this strategy, Sancin inserts his own views, expectations, and criticisms of reality through the background in order to reach the his intended foreground.Theforegroundin the novel Yin Galema is both a reflection and contemplation of events which occurred to the people of Belitung Island, at the very least after Belitung became part of Bangka-Belitung Province and was divided into a regency and a city in 2003. The birth of this dualistic government is, for him, not a reason to have an identity conflict over the differences. Ian Sancin feels that we must realize the importance of multiculturalism in social life. The variety of ethnic groups and religions found in an area should not be a reason for society to abandon its unity. The various ethnic groups and religions must be understood as a manifestation of Bhineka Tunggal Ika: many but one.
