ALAT PENGENDALI PINTU PERLINTASAN KERETA API OTOMATIS BERBASIS ARDUINO DENGAN REPORT SHORT MESSAGE SERVICE

Perkembangan transportasi pada masa sekarang ini terutama transportasi masal mengalami banyak perubahan demi kenyamanan dan keamanan para penumpang. Diantara transportasi masal yang paling banyak digunakan adalah kereta api. Namun sering terjadinya kecelakaan terutama di area perlintasan kereta api membuat kenyamanan para penumpang berkurang. Kecelakaan yang terjadi salah satunya adalah kaarena pengoprasian palang pintu kereta api secara manual. Dengan alat pengendali palang pintu perlintasan kereta api berbasis arduino dengan report short message service mengubah sistem pengoprasian pintu perlintasan kereta api yang masih bersifat manual dengan sistem yang bersifat otomatis dan dikendalikan oleh komponen - komponen tertentu. Rangkaian komunikasi serial menggunakan RS- 232 sebagai penghubung antara modem wavecome dengan mikrokontroler yang menjadi pusat kendali. Penggerak pada alat ini menggunakan motor servo yang membuka dan menutup palang pintu kereta api. Terdapat sensor yang mendeteksi kendaraan yang terjebak di area perlintasan kereta api untuk selanjutnya memberikan informasi untuk menyalakan LED agar masinis mengurangi kecepatan.
