Teknologi awan (Cloud Technology) adalah salah satu contoh perkembangan teknologi informasi yang kemudian diharapkan semakin menyentuh dalam proses bisnis perusahaan dan organisasi. Teknologi awan juga berfokus pada memaksimalkan efektivitas sumber daya bersama. Sumber daya awan biasanya tidak hanya dimiliki oleh beberapa pengguna tetapi dinamis dialokasikan sesuai permintaan. Disadari atau tidak, di era modern ini semakin banyak perusahaan yang sudah menjejakkan salah satu kakinya pada teknologi awan. Penggunaan g-mail contohnya dimana perusahaan atau organisasi telah mengijinkan komputer dari pihak Google yang mengelola surat elektronik (e-mail) mereka. Faktanya bahwa sejak dekade terakhir sebagian besar orang di dunia terikat dengan aplikasi berbasis internet. Penelitian ini akan berdasarkan beberapa penelitian sebelumnya mengenai isu-isu hambatan aplikasi teknologi awan, utamanya dengan kaitannya pada proses bisnis. Metode yang digunakan adalah survei terhadap komunitas pengguna TI dalam proses bisnisnya di Yogyakarta. Model analisis yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah korelasi Pearson dan korelasi parsial, mengacu kepada masalah klasik trade-off antara waktu (time), biaya (cost), dan kualitas (quality) untuk membandingkan pengaruh-pengaruh trade off variabel-variabel tersebut (waktu (time), biaya (cost), dan kualitas (quality)) terhadap implementasi teknologi awan pada proses bisnis, khususnya pada komunitas bisnis di Yogyakarta. Hasil penelitian trade off teknologi awan pada proses bisnis studi kasus komunitas bisnis Yogyakarta menggunakan skala guttman. Hasil analisis data responden mengungkapkan bahwa 68% mengungkapkan mampu mengurangi biaya (cost), 83% mengungkapkan mampu mengurangi waktu kerja (time), dan 78% mengungkapkan mampu meningkatkan kualitas kerja/layanan (quality) ketika mengimplementasikan teknologi awan dalam proses bisnisnya.

Cloud Technology is one example of the development of information technology which expected to be more touched in the company's business processes and organizations. Cloud technology also focuses on maximizing the effectiveness of shared resources. Cloud resources are usually not only possessed by a few users but dynamically allocated on demand. Knowingly or not, in this modern era more and more companies are already setting one foot on cloud technology. The use g-mail for example where the company or organization has allowed the computer from the Google managing electronic mail (e-mail) for them. The fact that since the last decade most of the people in the world are bound with Internet-based applications. This study will be based on some previous research on issues of barriers to cloud technology applications, especially with regard to the business process. The method used is a survey of the IT user community in the process of business in Yogyakarta. The analysis model used in this study is the Pearson correlation and partial correlation, referring to the classic problem of trade-off between time (time), cost (cost), and quality (quality) to compare the effects of trade off these variables (time (time), cost (cost), and quality (quality)) on the implementation of cloud technologies in business processes, particularly in the business community in Yogyakarta. Results of research trade off cloud technology on business processes Yogyakarta business community case studies using Guttman scale. Results of the data analysis is that 68% of respondents revealed able to reduce costs (cost), 83% revealed able to reduce working time (time), and 78% revealed able to improve the quality of work (quality) when implementing cloud technologies in business processes.
