Formulasi Tablet Effervescent Ekstrak Herba Ciplukan (Physalis angulata L.)

Ciplukan (Physalis angulata L.) merupakan tanaman yang berkhasiat sebagai penurun kadar gula darah. Dilakukan modifikasi sediaan dalam bentuk tablet effervescent agar penggunaannya efektif dan menarik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengoptimasi formula tablet effervescent ekstrak herba ciplukan dengan variasi asam sitrat, asam tartrat, dan natrium bikarbonat. Ekstrak herba ciplukan dibuat dengan cara infundasi. Pembuatan serbuk ekstrak herba ciplukan dilakukan menggunakan spray dry. Granul dan tablet effervescent dibuat dengan metode basah kemudian dilakukan uji sifat fisik granul dan tablet effervescent. Data sifat fisik granul dan tablet effervescent dianalisis menggunakan SLD dengan program Design Expert versi 9.0.6 untuk memperoleh formula optimum. Stabilitas fisik tablet effervescent optimum dianalisis menggunakan Independent Samples T-test dengan taraf kepercayaan 95%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan proporsi asam sitrat dan asam tartrat dapat meningkatkan kekerasan, waktu larut, dan rasa tablet effervescent, sedangkan peningkatan natrium bikarbonat dapat meningkatkan kerapuhan. Selisih proporsi asam sitrat dan asam tartrat dengan natrium bikarbonat dikalikan dengan interaksi keduanya dapat meningkatkan kompaktibilitas granul. Asam sitrat, asam tartrat, dan natrium bikarbonat dengan proporsi 1 : 2 : 3,48 menghasilkan tablet effervescent ekstrak herba ciplukan yang optimum. Tablet effervescent ekstrak herba ciplukan formula optimum memiliki stabilitas keseragaman bobot, kekerasan, kerapuhan, dan rasa yang baik namun memiliki stabilitas waktu larut yang tidak baik selama penyimpanan 1 bulan.

Ciplukan (Physalis angulata L.) is a plant that is efficacious as lowering blood sugar levels. Dosage modification is done in the form of effervescent tablets that use is effective and attractive. This study aims to optimize the formula effervescent tablets of ciplukan herb extract with variation of citric acid, tartaric acid, and sodium bicarbonate. Ciplukan herb extracts made by infundation. Ciplukan herb extracts powder made by spray dry. Granules and effervescent tablets made by wet method and then test the physical properties of the granules and effervescent tablets. Data of physical properties of the granules and effervescent tablets were analyzed using the SLD program Design Expert version 9.0.6 to obtain the optimum formula. Optimum physical stability of effervescent tablets were analyzed using Independent Samples T-test with a level of 95%. The results showed that an increase in the proportion of citric acid and tartaric acid can increase the hardness, disintegration time, and taste of effervescent tablets, while the increase in sodium bicarbonate may increase fragility. The difference in the proportion of citric acid and tartaric acid with sodium bicarbonate multiplied by the interaction of both can improve the compactibility of granules. Citric acid, tartaric acid, and sodium bicarbonate to the proportion of 1: 2: 3,48 produce optimum effervescent tablets of ciplukan herb extracts. Optimum effervescent tablets of ciplukan herb extracts have good stability of weight uniformity, hardness, friability, and taste but have bad stability of disintegration time for 1 month storage.
