PERAN DUKUNGAN SOSIAL DAN OPTIMISME TERHADAP JOB INSECURITY KARYAWAN OUTSOURCING PT. X YOGYAKARTA

Penggunaan sistem outsourcing saat ini semakin marak digunakan oleh banyak organisasi. Tujuannya agar organisasi dapat fokus pada bisnis utamanya dengan cara yang efektif. Kondisi ini lantas menimbulkan banyak protes dari para pekerja yang merasa tidak memiliki jaminan atas keberlangsungan kerja mereka. Kekhawatiran akan ketidakpastian status kerja ini sering disebut dengan job insecurity. Job insecurity menurut beberapa pendapat ahli dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor antara lain lingkungan dan organisasi seperti dukungan sosial serta karakteristik personal pekerja seperti optimisme. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat bagaimana peran dukungan sosial dan optimisme terhadap job insecurity para pekerja outsourcing. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dengan menyebar kuesioner. Sebanyak 103 subjek merupakan karyawan outsourcing yang bekerja di PT X dan ditempatkan pada perusahaan pembiayaan. Analisis data dilakukan dengan metode analisis regresi berganda. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa secara bersama-sama dukungan sosial dan optimisme memiliki peran dalam memprediksi tingkat job insecurity pada karyawan outsourcing dengan sumbangan efektif sebesar 32,2%.

At present, the use of outsourcing system has been widely adopted by many organizations. The aim is in order the organization can focus on its main business effectively. Such condition then generates many protests from workers whom perceive that they do not have any guarantee on their job sustainability. Their concern regarding this job status uncertainty is often called as job insecurity. Job insecurity according to many experts is influenced by several factors including environment and organization such as social support and employee personal characteristic like optimism. The objective of this research is to discover how the role of social support and optimism to outsourcing worker job insecurity is. Research method used in this research was quantitative method by distributing questionnaires. As much as 103 selected subjects were outsourcing employees whom worked at PT X and were placed at financing company. Data analysis used was multiple regression analysis. Result of the research suggested that social support and optimism together they take part in predicting job insecurity level at outsourcing workers with effective contribution by 32,2%.
