Human Rights Issues and U. S.-Indonesia Military Relations

MYANYA SABRINA, Dr. Nur Rachmat Yuliantoro, MA (IR)

2016 | Skripsi | S1 ILMU HUBUNGAN INTERNASIONAL

This skripsi aims to understand the dynamics of military relations between both countries as they have been influenced by the allegations. It includes the history of bilateral military relations before the revelations of the allegations until recent development of the military relations. It also provides analysis of the incidents that created most impact and the harmful effects that follow. In spite of the effects, the skripsi finds that the rewards outweight the consequences. Both nations have mutual interests to fulfill that ranges from security, politics, economics, diplomatic and defense. Moreover, the U. S. and Indonesia are democratic nations and will work together towards a common goal. Therefore, even with the allegations of human rights violation, they will always need each other, especially in the military affairs.
