PENGEMBANGAN SMS GATEWAY PADA APLIKASI SLiMS MENGGUNAKAN PERANGKAT MOBILE BERBASIS ANDROID (STUDI KASUS DI LEMBAGA BIMBINGAN BELAJAR ESAGAMA YOGYAKARTA)

Perpustakaan merupakan salah satu fasilitas penting untuk mendukung keberhasilan proses pembelajaran, dengan cara menyediakan koleksi pustaka sebagai sumber belajar. Senayan Library Management System SLiMS merupakan salah satu aplikasi sistem manajemen perpustakaan library management system open source dan bersifat cross-platform yang dikembangkan oleh Tim dari Pusat Informasi dan Humas Departemen Pendidikan Nasional Republik Indonesia. SLiMS merupakan sebuah aplikasi web based yang dibangun menggunakan PHP, MySQL, dan pengontrol versi Git. Fitur utama SliMS meliputi manajemen data master, Online Public Access Catalog OPAC, pencarian, sirkulasi, counter pengunjung, serta pelaporan dan statistik, juga dilengkapi dengan modul untuk konfigurasi sistem global, manajemen modul, manajemen user dan grup, pengaturan hari libur, pembuatan barcode otomatis, serta utilitas backup. Kekurangan pada SLiMS adalah belum mendukung proses transaksi berbasis SMS gateway. Penelitian ini mengembangkan SLiMS dengan cara menambahkan 4 empat modul SMS gateway pada sistem operasi Android yang meliputi inbox, outbox, daemons, dan service. Pengembangan aplikasi dilakukan mengacu pada daur hidup pengembangan sistem, yaitu perencanaan, analisis, desain, implementasi, pengujian, dan pemeliharaan. Proses terpenting dalam aplikasi SMS Gateway adalah mendeteksi, membaca, dan membalas setiap SMS yang masuk ke dalam SMS server secara otomatis sesuai dengan format yang telah ditentukan. Aplikasi SMS gateway yang dikembangkan mampu melayani 7 tujuh proses utama, yaitu pencarian buku berdasarkan kriteria tertentu CARI, pendaftaran user DAFTAR, pendaftaran anggota REG, pemberhentian anggota UNREG, informasi buku dipinjam PINJAMAN, perpanjangan masa pinjaman PERPANJANG, serta informasi INFO. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi yang dikembangkan telah berfungsi sesuai dengan yang telah direncanakan.

The library is one of the necessary facilities to support the success of the learning process, by providing a collection of literature as a source of learning. Senayan Library Management System SLiMS is a library management system software that is open source and cross-plat form developed by a team from the Center for Information and Public Relations of the Ministry of National Education Republic of Indonesia. Slims is a web-based application built using PHP, MySQL, and Git as a controller. The main feature SLiMS includes master data management, Online Public Access Catalog OPAC, searching, circulation, visitor counters, as well as reporting and statistics, are also equipped with a module for the configuration of the global system, module management, management of users and groups, setting a holiday, generate automated barcode, and backup utilities. One shortcoming of Slims is not support SMS gateway. This study develops SliMS by adding four 4 modules SMS gateway on the Android operating system that includes the inbox, outbox, daemons, and service. Application development is done referring to the system development life cycle, including planning, analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. The most important process in the SMS Gateway application is to detect, read, and reply to any incoming SMS to the SMS server automatically in accordance with a predetermined format. SMS gateway application that was developed is able to serve seven 7 main processes book search based on defined criteria CARI, registration of participants DAFTAR, registration of the participants become a member REG, membership terminate UNREG, information about borrowed books PINJAMAN, extension of borrowing period PERPANJANG, as well as information about the system INFO. The test results indicate that the application has been developed in accordance with the functions that have been designed previously.
