Pengaruh Polimerisasi Polyaniline, Konsentrasi PVA-Polyaniline, dan Pemanasan Terhadap Morfologi Nanofiber Hasil Electrospinning

Pada penelitian ini campuran polyaniline ter-doping asam klorida (PANI-HCl) dan poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) digunakan untuk membuat nanofiber menggunakan metode electrospinning. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh polimerisasi PANI, konsentrasi PVA-polyaniline dan proses pemanasan terhadap morfologi nanofiber yang dihasilkan melalui metode electrospinning. PANI disiapkan menggunakan metode conventional polymerization dan rapid mixing polymerization. Larutan untuk electrospinning dibuat menggunakan perbandingan PANI:PVA = 1:1 dan konsentrasi PVA dalam total larutan adalah 11, 12, dan 13%. Fabrikasi nanofiber dilakukan menggunakan electrospinning pada tegangan 15 kV, jarak ujung syringe dengan kolektor 14 cm, diameter jarum syringe 0,8 mm, dan blower pada ukuran medium. Nanofiber PANI telah berhasil difabrikasi melalui metode electrospinning dengan bantuan matriks PVA dibuktikan dengan hasil citra scanning electron microscopy (SEM) yang menunjukkan fiber berdiameter 78-280 nm untuk fiber berbahan PANI A dan 68-104 nm untuk fiber berbahan PANI B. Setelah proses pemanasan diameternya berkurang menjadi 51-130 nm untuk fiber berbahan PANI A dan 41-68 nm untuk fiber berbahan PANI B. Melalui hasil SEM juga dapat disimpulkan bahwa diameter fiber cenderung bertambah seiring dengan bertambahnya konsentrasi PVA. Spektrum fourier transform infra red (FTIR) fiber setelah proses pemanasan menunjukkan bahwa: masih terdapatnya puncak-puncak khas PVA yang menunjukkan bahwa masih ada PVA yang belum menguap dalam fiber; serta konduktivitas PANI yang berkurang karena menguapnya doping HCl pada saat proses pemanasan, hal ini dapat dilihat pada berkurangnya intensitas serapan vibrasi Q=N+H-B atau B-N+H-B yang menjadi karakter PANI konduktif.

In this work, the mixture of hydrochloride acid doped polyaniline (PANI-HCl) and poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) was used to form nanofiber through electrospinning method. The aim of this research was to understand the effect of PANI polymerization, PVA-polyaniline concentration and heating process to the electrospun nanofiber morphology. PANI powder was prepared by conventional and rapid mixing polymerization methods. The solution for electrospinning was prepared with the ratio of PANI/PVA = 1/1 and PVA concentration in the solution were 11, 12 and 13%. Nanofibers were fabricated by electrospinning methods in 15 kV, the 14-cm distance of syringe's tip to the collector, 0.8-mm syringe needle diameter, and medium state blower. PANI nanofibers have been successfully fabricated by electrospinning method with PVA as a matrix showed by 78-280-nm and 68-104-nm fiber�s diameter from PANI A and PANI B. Diameter of the fibers was reduced after being heated to 51-130-nm and 41-68-nm of fibers fabricated from PANI A and PANI B. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) image was also showed diameter decreasing of the fiber accord with decreasing of PVA concentration on the fibers. Fourier transform infra red (FTIR) spectrum of fibers before and after being heated showed: There were still PVA left in the fibers showed from PVA main peaks showed on the FTIR spectrum of fibers after being heated; the conductivity was decreasing due to HCl-doping loss proved by reducing of Q=N+H-B or B-N+H-B vibration peak intensity as a character of conducting PANI.
