Analisis Perkembangan Usaha Mikro Kecil Menengah (UMKM) Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta 2009-2013

Usaha Mikro Kecil Menengah (UMKM) telah memberikan kontribusi yang besar terhadap perekonomian Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perkembangan UMKM DIY tahun 2009 sampai 2013 menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif yang menghubungkan kinerjanya dengan dokumen perencanaan daerah jangka menengah atau RPJMD. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perkembangan UMKM DIY tahun 2010 sampai 2013 berdasarkan jumlah unit usaha, tenaga kerja dan nilai produksi realisasinya melebihi proyeksi yang dilakukan ole pemerintah provinsi DIY. Berdasarkan klasifikasi atau cabang industri UMKM DIY mengalami peningkatan kinerja secara terus menerus dari tahun 2010 sampai 2013. Untuk tahun 2009 perkembangan UMKM DIY dilihat dari jumlah unit usaha, tenaga kerja, nilai produksi, nilai investasi, nilai bahan baku maupun klasifikasi atau cabang industri menurun secara drastis, karena masih banyak bergantung pada bahan baku impor dan pangsa pasar ekspornya masih sempit. Oleh karena itu pemerintah DIY kedepan perlu mencarikan alternatif bahan baku lokal serta mencarikan pangsa pasar yang lebih luas supaya UMKM di DIY lebih mampu bertahan terhadap efek krisis global.

Micro Small Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) have given major contribution to the economy of Yogyakarta. The aims of the study is to analyze the development of the MSMEs DIY 2009 until 2013 by using the descriptive stastistical analysis relating its performance with the Local Government Medium-term Development Plan (LGMtDP). The result of this study showed that the development of MSMEs DIY 2010 until 2013, based on the number of business units, labors, and the value of production, exceeds the projected expectations of the government of DIY. Based on the classification, MSMEs DIY experienced continously improving performance during 2010 until 2013. In 2009 the development of MSMEs, based on the number of business units, labors, production value, investment value, auxiliaries, and classifications or industrial branches, decreased significantly because of relying on imported raw materials and of the limited segments of export markets. Therefore, the government of DIY is expected to find local raw materials as alternative options and explorewider markets so that MSMEs may withstand against the effects of global crisis.
