PT United Tractors Pandu Engineering (UTE) adalah perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang manufaktur alat berat. Sektor pertambangan merupakan sektor yang paling memberikan keuntungan terbesar bagi UTE. Salah satu produk unggulan sektor pertambangan adalah produk dump vessel. Bermacam type sudah diproduksi, namun Dump vessel 465 coal adalah prototype yang pertama kali diproduksi. Dibutuhkan fixture baru dengan memodifikasi fixture lama yang ada di PT UTE. Dalam pengumpulan data untuk pembuatan Fixture, penulis menggunakan tiga metode yaitu: studi literatur dengan mempelajari dokumen fixture yang sudah di produksi, modul literatur fixture PT UTE serta bahan literatur dari internet. Metode selanjutnya adalah dengan mengobservasi fixture yang sudah diproduksi dengan terjun langsung kelapangan. Metode terakhir adalah wawancara kepada engineer PT UTE tentang segala aspek penunjang pembuatan fixture. Dengan adanya modifikasi pada fixture lama, efisiensi man power, biaya produksi, serta waktu yang dibutuhkan untuk membuat produk dump vessel 465 Coal dapat ditekan dan keakuratan bentuk serta dimensi produk dump vessel dapat dicapai.

PT United Tractors Pandu Engineering (UTE) is a company engaged in the manufacturing of heavy equipment. The mining sector gives the greatest profit to UTE. One of the main products of the mining sector is the dump vessel. Various types have been produced, however the Dump Vessel 465 Coal is the first prototype to be produced. A new fixture is needed by modifying the old fixture in PT UTE. In collecting the data to manufacture the Fixture, the writer used three methods. The first is to conduct a literature study on the documents of the produced fixture, on PT UTE literature module of fixture, and from the internet. A second method is to observe the produced fixture by doing the field-study. The last method is to interview an engineer of PT UTE concerning all supporting aspects of fixture manufacturing. With the modification of an old fixture; man power efficiency, production cost, and time required to make the Dump Vessel 465 Coal can be reduced as well as the accuracy of the shape and dimension of the dump vessel product can be achieved.
